Arteta: We've always believed in each other, we're a family

Mikel Arteta praised Arsenal's Ansley Maitland Niles, who started arsenal's 1-0 win over Watford on Sunday.

Arsenal's game against Watford is Arteta's 100th game in charge of Arsenal. They lost the first three games of the season but have been in good form ever since.

In this weekend's game against Watford, the Londoners are unbeaten in the Premier League.

The Gunners played better against Ranieri's side. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a penalty in the first half and Emil Smith Rowe scored the lead in the 56th minute.

The ball landed beautifully on the edge of the penalty area and the Englishman crossed Ben Foster to find the net.

In Arsenal's 1-0 win, Yuraj Kuka was sent off by Watford. This victory lifted Arteta's position to fifth. They are now just six points behind Chelsea and at the top of the league table.

Maitland Niles played the full 90 minutes for the first time this season against Watford. According to Football London, Arteta said after the match that he was now a "different player".

On Maitland Niles, Arteta said: "I think he's a different player, his sense of urgency, his clarity in the game and his commitment."

He added: "Nuno (Tavares) came on because he was worth playing. He's been very good ever since he got this opportunity, but I can't say anything different about Kieran (Tierney). That's what we need. Two top players are improving the level of this position.

"Kieran will support Scotland. He's training on the pitch today and he's ready to play. ”

The BBC Sports Channel quoted Smith Rowe as saying after the game that Arsenal were like a "family":

"Today was a tough game for us. Watford are a strong team. Glad we scored three points.

"I'm happy (scoring) and I've been practicing in training. It's really special and it would be better to do it at home and in front of our fans.

"We've been working hard and today we got three points and that's really important.

"I think we've always believed in ourselves and each other. We are a team, we are a family. ”

On not being selected for the England national team: "It's important that I keep a low profile, work hard and I'm happy whoever is selected."
