On the morning of August 16, when the flames of the 14th Games and the Paralympic Games collected from the foot of the Pagoda Mountain, escorted by the sacred flames and the golden armor warriors, stepped on the Yongningmen Square full of the rich atmosphere of the 14th Games and the Special Olympics, the moment when xi'an, the ancient capital of the millennium, ushered in another "highlight moment". At 8:30 a.m., the torch relay starting ceremony officially began. After the audience greeted the national flag and sang the "National Anthem of the People's Republic of China", the flames of the 14th Games and the Special Olympics were welcomed into the sacred brazier of the ceremonial platform under the attention of the whole audience. Olympic champion Qin Kai became the first torchbearer in the first torch relay of the 14th Games and The Paralympic Games. The torches of the 14th Games and the Special Olympics are "passed in one" and innovate the way of organizing the transmission activities. From August 16 to September 12, the flame of the 14th Games and The Special Olympics was passed for 28 days and 14 stations in 13 urban areas of the province, and entered the Xi'an Olympic Sports Center Stadium on September 15 to light the torch tower of the 14th Olympic Games; on October 22, it entered the Xi'an Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium and lit the Paralympic Torch Tower.
