In Qidong County, Hunan Province, there is a mountain called Ruyi Peak, mainly limestone structure, in the belly of Ruyi Peak there is a mysterious cave, called fox cave, legend is that after the defeat of Wu Sangui's soldiers, several of his generals put a large number of gold and silver treasures in this fox cave, the local people think that this cave is likely to be wu Sangui left the treasure place, but no one has looked for it for hundreds of years.
In the summer of 2018, I had the honor to come to Ruyi Peak with several experts to investigate, and after arriving in Qidong County, I walked for about three hours to reach the halfway point of Ruyi Peak. Sharp-eyed experts found that from ruyifeng's abdomen, a dark cave suddenly appeared, and clear spring water flowed out of the cave.
The group put on their equipment and lighting equipment, and just entered the cave 5 meters deep, only to see that the cave was dark, tortuous, and there was a rushing stream under their feet. Experts saw at a glance that the cave was a typical karst landform, and several experts at the time said that whether there was treasure in the cave or not, it was worthy of in-depth investigation and study by experts. After entering the cave for about 50 meters, I saw the stone stalactites hanging on the cave wall, warm as jade, with different forms, some blooming like stone flowers, some like bamboo shoots, like translucent amber under the illumination of flashlights, very exquisite, and everyone took photos to stay in love. After continuing for about 30 meters, a dark river about half a meter deep blocked in front of everyone, and the crowd only hesitated for a moment before crossing the dark river.
At this time, an expert saw at a glance that there was writing on the stone wall in front of him, which had been blurred due to the long time. The curiosity of the crowd suddenly rose, and when they looked closer, it turned out to be a poem "Flying Flowers and Flowing Water..... gold...... According to the people, the payment was actually Guangxu twenty-two years, and experts calculated that the twenty-second year of Guangxu was 1896. Is it really related to Wu Sangui's treasure? Everyone got excited together and continued to walk deep in the front cave. About ten minutes later, an expert's flashlight inadvertently shone on another golden cave wall, and everyone was amazed, and after careful identification by the experts, this was not the so-called gold, but a natural crystal, a kind of calcite that became after the golden mica and muscovite of the soil during the dissolution of the limestone.
Experts continue to explain: It is very likely that after the locals saw this golden cave wall, they misunderstood that there was gold in the cave, and slowly became involved with Wu Sangui's treasure and became a rumor.
