Can you imagine that there are still people living in caves? There is a place in our country that has been named "China's last cave-dwelling tribe". This place is Zhongdong Miao Village.

Zhongdong MiaoZhai is located in Gejing Village, Shuitang Town, Getuo River, Ziyun County, Guizhou Province. The word "Ge Cong" is a Hmong word meaning "holy land". There are three huge caves above the small piercing hole at the outlet of the Gucong River, and the "middle cave" Miao Zhai lives in the high middle cave.
The cave houses China's last cave-dwelling "tribe", with a total of less than a hundred people. Their ancestors moved to the mountains to escape the war and later settled in the cave. Generations of "Zhongdong" Miao families have flourished here, living a poor but contented life.
The cave is about 100 meters wide and more than 200 meters deep. In the cave, people make walls of fences, the roof of the cave is the roof, and the furnishings in the home are mostly clumsy wooden cabinets, tables and stools.
In 2003, donations were made to open a transmission line from Yamashita to Zhongdong. Zhongdong Miaozhai has since lived a life with electricity.
Near the bottom of the cave, there is a well-known "Middle Cave Elementary School". The small playground and basketball hoop are all quaint and shocking. Later, the school was closed, and the students went to the Hope Elementary School donated by Yamashita to study.
