Recently, a teacher at The Catholic High School in Hamilton, Canada, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault because a mother discovered that her daughter's teacher was the same man who sexually assaulted her many years ago.
Hamilton Police then arrested Brian Boyle, 53, on charges of four counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual exploitation and one count of sexual harassment.
The mother initially posted on Facebook that she had been verbally and physically sexually assaulted by a man between 2003 and 2005. But then she found out that her daughter's current teacher was the same man who sexually assaulted her, so she chose to post online to expose the incident.
"When my daughter came home and mentioned her teacher's name to me, I was shocked. I was a child then, and now that I have children, I have to make public what happened to me. The mother said on Facebook.
The police encouraged any victim of sexual assault to report the incident to the sexual assault department, and after the police investigated the relevant posts on the Internet, multiple victims have reported it to the police.
Brian Boyle has been notified by the Education Bureau that he will appear in court on December 6.
