The "Satoyama Animal Train", which first departed in early February this year, was created by the Forestry Bureau of the Agricultural Committee of the Executive Yuan in cooperation with the Taiwan Railway Administration of the Ministry of Communications, and the pattern on the body came from the executive unit "Seed Design", hoping to convey the concept of ecological protection of Satoyama through this train.
Many people do not know, in fact, Taiwan has 60% of the protected wild animals, inhabited below 1,000 meters above sea level, there are 64% of plant species, this area as a fertility place, due to the development of modern various types of land, many Lishan animals, such as stone tigers, grass owl can only live in fragmented habitat, not only between the population isolation, but also lack of safe food sources, is not conducive to reproduction, and may even gradually disappear.
