Timo Boll (born 8 March 1981) is a German table tennis player. He began playing at the age of 4, winning the men's singles title at the UEFA Youth Championships in 1997 and 1998, and in 2002, Bohr defeated Wang Liqin and Kong Linghui to win the men's singles title of the Table Tennis World Cup. In January 2003, he ascended to the first place in the men's table tennis player world rankings. 2005 World Cup men's singles champion, 2008 Belgium Liège World Cup runner-up, 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Bohr led Germany to runner-up, 2012 Liverpool World Cup men's singles runner-up. He has won the second place in the world table tennis team competition for the German team several times.
On 6 August 2016, he served as the flag bearer of the German delegation at the Rio Olympics. On August 18, 2016, the Rio Olympics men's table tennis team Germany won the bronze medal. 2017 Table Tennis Men's World Cup Men's Singles Runner-up. In December 2017, he was awarded the 2017 ITTF "Male Athlete of the Year".
