Last time, when my friend and I were climbing Xiaowutai, we met a mountaineer who told us that there is a good mountain nearby, the scenery is better than Xiaowutai, and it is particularly easy to see the sea of clouds, the mountain is not far away, and the difficulty is also entry-level. This mountain is the "Mountain of Human Heads" in the Robe Yu.
After listening to his recommendation, we put the "Head Mountain" in our hearts, and it didn't take long, after checking the strategy, my friend and I picked a sunny day after the rain to climb the Head Mountain.
Rentou Mountain, where The Paoyu is located, is a lesser-known Xiaoyu, located in Wangyu Village, Yangzhuang Street, Chang'an District, Xi'an, with Dayu on one side and Kuyu on the other. The trail from Yukou to the foot of Rentou Mountain is only 3 kilometers, and cars can drive along the cement road in Yudao to the mountain entrance, where there is a relatively flat ground where you can park. But if you take the bus, it is particularly inconvenient, you can only sit to the "Shifo Village", walk 1 hour to Yukou, and then walk for 1 hour to reach the Yu Nei Mountain Pass, and so on to the mountain pass, it is not early, the physical strength is almost consumed, there is no time and strength to climb Rentou Mountain. Therefore, Rentou Mountain is suitable for self-driving.
The elevation of Rentou Mountain is more than 1600 meters above sea level, the mountain entrance is more than 1100 meters above sea level, and the height difference from the bottom of the mountain to the mountain is about 500 meters, and the distance is about 2 kilometers. Not long after, the cultivators who lived in seclusion in the mountains began to show their tracks, and the first thing they encountered would be a simple and incomparable cultivation hut, the Golden Light Temple, where several sheds were built under the cliffs, where an elderly monk lived.
After walking a few hundred meters, we came to a Taoist temple, the Jade Emperor Hall, where a handsome and courteous young Daoist leader lived.
A few more minutes further up, you will reach the midpoint of the trip, the Farin Temple, where there is a Farin Pagoda where the relics of Master Farin are buried.
Passing through the Fain Temple, to a pine forest, stepping over the path paved with pine needles, the terrain suddenly became steeper, the climbing began to be difficult, the forest became denser, the moss was more, not only covered the valley, but also climbed to the side of the road, as if to climb the instep of your feet, many trees were draped in a moss coat, and the large and small stones were also dressed in green, as if they had mistakenly entered the moss wonderland.
Through the dense forest valley, bid farewell to the enthusiastic moss friends, turn over to the mountain beams, and then go up, the trees become shorter, the stones become more, the view becomes open, you can cross the mountain and see the plain under the mountain. Looking up, you can see the steep stone wall not far away, and on the other side of the stone wall, there is Kuyu.
Not long after, he went to a monk's residence, the Dragon King Temple, which, no matter how small and simple, were legal religious sites registered with the Religious Bureau, where a young monk lived, standing on a large stone platform in front of the temple, looking at the city of Xi'an at the foot of the mountain, and he did not know whether he felt lonely or detached.
After passing the Dragon King Temple, walking on the path between the boulders for another 10 minutes, you will reach the Temple of our Lady at the top, although the Temple of Our Lady is dilapidated, it is quite imposing, occupying a flat hill, according to the mountain, built up and down three floors, although not very luxurious, but in this mountain is second to none, some climbers cook hot pot in the courtyard in front of the temple, we also stay here, eat our own lunch.
At the Notre Dame Temple, 360 degrees around, the scenery is different, the best scenery is on the west side - there is the iconic landscape of Rentou Mountain - The Human Head Stone, and between the Human Head Stone and the Notre Dame Hall, there is also a small hill, which is just rightly dotted with a small pavilion - the "Yuzu Pavilion" built by the villagers of Wangyu Village.
It is said that the head stone resembles a human head, and can see the eyes, nose, and mouth, and the best location for viewing the head stone is the Yuzu Pavilion in the middle. From the side of the cliff next to the Notre Dame Temple, there is a path leading to the Yuzu Pavilion, about 5 minutes, we will go from the top of the Notre Dame Hall to the top of the Yuzu Pavilion, standing here and looking at the human head stone - how can not see where there are eyes, noses, mouths, may lack imagination, may also be the wrong angle.
Even so, it is not a pity, because the scenery here is not only this stone, to the west, to the south, you can see the continuous peaks, you can see the wide Dayu, the white road winds along the Dayu into the crevices of the mountains, next to the small villages, and many forks. At the end of the line of sight, there is the mountain, the endless mountain, such a majestic Qinling Mountain, how to see it is beautiful.
The only thing that I felt inadequate was that I didn't see the sea of clouds, and the mountaineer said that Rentou Mountain was the easiest place to see the sea of clouds, and we specially picked a sunny day to climb the mountain after the rain, but it still didn't show us the most beautiful side, maybe the most beautiful, always the next mountain to climb.
It is worth mentioning that Rentou Mountain is a rare mountain with a network signal in the Qinling Mountains, where there is no need to worry about losing contact with the mountain.
