On the morning of October 8, Yang Jin, a resident of Hukou Community in Fozuling Street, East Lake High-tech Zone, Wuhan, stopped in front of the gate of the renovated community and took a photo in the circle of friends.
The Hukou community was built in 2013, and the sidewalk at the entrance and exit of the original community was only more than one meter wide, electric vehicles and pedestrians often competed, and the walls on both sides were cracked in many places. In July this year, the street and the community raised more than 600,000 yuan of renovation funds through various channels, repaired and reinforced the gate of the community, demolished and rebuilt the courtyard walls on both sides, and widened the road in and out of the community.
Not long ago, the new gate of Fozuling C Community, which is 5 kilometers away from Hukou Community, was also officially completed and put into use. Built in 2009, Fozuling C Community is one of the 7 old and built communities in Fozuling Street, the original entrance and exit is narrow, residents are often blocked at the door during the morning and evening rush hour, and it is not convenient for large fire fighting vehicles to enter and exit. In July this year, the gate renovation project with a total investment of nearly 500,000 yuan was launched, which took two months to complete, doubling the original 7-meter entrance and exit, building a two-way motorized road and pedestrian passage, and the original independent and dilapidated community gatekeeper was integrated with the new gatehouse. "The gate looks good, and I'm happy to go home." Huang Xianqing, a 58-year-old resident of Fozuling C Community, said.
Fan Wenping, deputy director of the Fozuling Street Office, told reporters that the fozuling D community gate expansion and renovation project opposite the Fozuling C community is also about to be put on the agenda. A gatehouse renovation in the FozuLing A community not far away also started last month and is expected to be completed in November. In July this year, the Fozuling A Community Comprehensive Cultural Square, which covers an area of about 1,000 square meters, was also officially completed and put into use. The plaza is a comprehensive transformation of 3 paths after 16 to 27 buildings, adding a 15-square-meter electronic display screen, 8 outdoor fitness equipment and a set of children's play facilities. The original abandoned landscape pond at the entrance of the community has been transformed into a small square of 300 square meters, with trails, leisure benches, and 18 varieties of green plants.
Fan Wenping introduced that the cost of renovating the gatehouses of the four residential areas was jointly solved by the street and the community, and the community comprehensive cultural square was strongly supported by the co-construction unit. In addition, in order to solve the problem of mosquitoes and flies and odors in the 7 garbage temporary storage sites in the community, the street applied for special funds to close and renovate 7 buried garbage compression stations, which are expected to be completed in November.
