Hunan Daily, New Hunan Client, June 15 (Reporter Li Xiatao Correspondent Li Qingsong Qu Yun) Dragon boats compete for the Yuanjiang River, and the aroma of Jietan tea wafts in all directions. On the morning of June 15th, the "Dragon Tengxiaoxiang • 2019" Hunan Traditional Dragon Boat Race (Yuanling Station) and the 5th Jietan Tea Culture Tourism Festival of Huaihua Yuanling opened, attracting nearly 100,000 tourists and merchants to gather in Yuanling to enjoy the aroma of tea.

Hosted by the Hunan Provincial Sports Bureau and hosted by the People's Government of Yuanling County, the event lasted for 2 days, aiming to carry forward the spirit of traditional dragon boats, strengthen the Jietan tea brand, promote the integration of culture and tourism, and help win the battle against poverty. At the opening ceremony, the China Tea Circulation Association, Hunan Tea Association and other units awarded Yuanling County "China's Top 100 Tea Counties", "Hunan Tea Top 100 Billion Industry Top 10 Counties", "Hunan Top Ten Famous Tea Jietan Tea" and other plaques.

"Drums beat like beating, smoke like clouds, moving radial fog, roaring and breaking the mountain gate..." The Yuanshui River on that day was sparkling, the gongs and drums were noisy, and the crowds were crowded. 20 dragon boat teams from all over the county braved the wind and waves, dragon boats toured the river, noisy rivers, grabbed red, raced to cross, dragon head vertical yang bird, flag bearer dancing flag, drummer banging flower drum and other traditional dragon boat culture performances, so that the audience feasted their eyes and cheered continuously.

Dragon Boat Cultural Square on the bank of Yuanshui, full of tea aroma, special agricultural products exhibition and sales are in full swing. Guanzhuang dry hair, Yinfeng, Fengjiao Jietan and other "Jietan" series of high-quality teas one by one unveiled, Xiangxi black pork, Yuanling sun orchid, Wuqiang Creek fish, Yuanling crisp sugar, native honey and other Yuanling "local goods" are dazzling, attracting tourists to purchase.

Yuanling is the hometown of China's traditional dragon boat, the largest traditional dragon boat competition base in Hunan Province, its traditional dragon boat races have gone through thousands of years, forming "stealing materials", "juncture", "appreciating red", "grabbing red", "smashing ships", "two major views", "three major schools" and other classic content, constituting a traditional dragon boat culture with strong regional characteristics, listed in the national intangible cultural heritage protection list, known as "the biggest sports event for contemporary farmers".

The county is the "hometown of China's organic tea", Jietan tea was listed as a tribute tea in the Tang Dynasty, because of its excellent quality and rich substances, it is known as "the outstanding representative of China's high-end green tea", selected as a national landmark protection product, and has repeatedly won the gold medal of the international and domestic tea fairs. The county will be Jietan tea as the "No. 1 industry" of precision poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, and the county's tea garden area has reached 153,000 mu, driving nearly 30,000 poor people out of poverty through the development of tea bases and tea enterprises.
