A major general officer took the lead and rushed to the front, raised his gun and shouted: The eldest husband sacrificed his life for righteousness, just at this moment

June 10, 1944, in the early hours of the morning. At this time, above the Bijiazhu of The Lingbao in Western Henan, the officers and men of the Chinese and Japanese armies were repeatedly and fiercely fighting. In order to seize the position, the Japanese constantly fired shells to bombard the Positions of the Chinese defenders. Frequently raised flares turned the night into day. After the shelling, the Japanese infantry cat waist, followed by their own tanks, launched a new offensive against the Chinese defenders.

In the face of such a sharp attack by the Japanese Kou, the 2nd Battalion of the 317th Regiment of the 106th Division stationed there was unable to support itself. The defensive line was soon torn open by the Japanese. Just as the entire defensive line was about to fall apart, a shout suddenly came from the rear. It turned out to be reinforcements! I saw a major general officer taking the lead and rushing to the front, brandishing a pistol and shouting: "The moment when the eldest husband sacrificed his life for righteousness and killed the enemy to repay the country, it was at this moment!" Encouraged by him, this group of tattered and exhausted warriors once again erupted with terrifying courage. For tanks, they use Molotov cocktails; for infantry, they use bayonets and even fists to fight the enemy to the death.

Suddenly, the fierce Japanese Kou was caught off guard by this group of "crazy people who don't want to die". The position that had just been occupied was once again retaken by the Chinese defenders. The undead Japanese Kou launched several successive offensives with the support of artillery fire, but they were defeated in turn, and the originally precarious defensive line was once again impregnable under the command of this officer!

Before the officers and men could celebrate the victory, several shells hit the forward positions. The officer was wounded on the left shoulder, but he categorically refused the hygienist's request and vowed not to be in the line of fire. The Japanese offensive became more and more frantic and fierce, and reinforcements continued to arrive. And the Chinese soldiers guarding here fell down, wounded and wounded. In the chaotic situation, the officer's right shoulder was penetrated by another bullet. But he still had to endure the pain, and only bandaged it a few times before continuing to command. In order to completely eliminate the "officer in the worn-out coat", the Japanese Kou brought in snipers. After two shots, the Chinese general named Wang Jianyue fell.

Wang Jianyue, real name Wang Shi. Born in 1906 in Li County, Hunan. Originally, I just wanted to be a teacher in my hometown. However, at the age of 19, in the face of the chaotic world of the great powers and warlords, he resolutely chose to throw his pen from Rong, and went to Guangzhou many times, and later enrolled in the 5th phase of the Whampoa Military Academy. During his studies, he studied theory and the art of war, and his achievements were among the best. When he graduated and left school in 1927, the young officer said to his classmates: "The baptism of revolution, the influence of doctrine, and the instructions of the principal are remembered in my heart." If we do not meet the long-cherished wish of serving the country, our generation will swear to die and never return! ”

After graduating from the Whampoa Military Academy, Wang Jianyue successively served as a company commander and a battalion commander. He was seriously wounded in the Battle of the Central Plains. However, after recovering from his injuries, he chose to return to the team to continue to serve. After the outbreak of the Battle of Songhu, he led the 3rd Battalion of the 4th Regiment of the 2nd Brigade of the 1st Division of the Army to block the Japanese Kou in the area of Yanghang. On September 11, the Japanese Kou, supported by more than 30 aircraft, accompanied by warships, with more than 2,000 troops, equipped with armored vehicles, and at the same time carried out a simultaneous advance of land, sea and air, launching a full-line attack on Yang Xing. Under the repeated resistance of the Chinese army, the Japanese were eventually expelled. The next day, the undead Japanese shelled with more than 200 artillery pieces. Subsequently, armoured vehicles were used to capture the position of the 4th Regiment at the East King's House. Seeing this situation, the 4th Regiment immediately held an operational meeting overnight and demanded the formation of a "death squad" to regain the lost ground. Wang Jianyue, who was the battalion commander, resolutely signed up to participate. By the 17th, the positions around Yangxing had been lost in four directions, and the casualties of the officers and men of our army were as high as 80 percent. In the 4th Regiment of the main attack, Li Youmei was martyred in a heroic manner, and Wang Jianyue was also seriously wounded. The Shanghai Times even said that "Yang Xing fought a bloody battle, and the whole town was scorched." ”

Wang Jianyue, who was injured again, returned home to visit his relatives while recuperating from his injuries. At the same time, he also preached the spirit of the War of Resistance in Lixian County and mobilized local young people to join the army and serve the country. In the autumn of 1938, he was promoted to regimental commander. Subsequently, he successively served as the commander of the 1st Supplementary Regiment of the 191st Division of the 42nd Army, the commander of the 48th Regiment of the 42nd Army, and the commander of the Border Region Brigade of the 17th General Brigade of the 7th Branch of the Central Army School.

In May 1941, Wang Jianyue was transferred to the 82nd Regiment of the 28th Division. As soon as he took office, the division commander Wang Yingzun told him that there was serious disunity within the regiment. I hope that after you take office, you can calm down this gang of "crooked winds and evil spirits"! As soon as Wang Jianyue took office, he proved with his own practical actions that the division commander did not look at the wrong person: he personally went down to the grass-roots level, visited one company after another, talked with the company commander and platoon commander personally, and understood the situation of the officers and men; at the same time, he also dismissed a number of officers who were not doing their jobs. In just 2 months, the "problem group" that had once hanged Er Lang Dang, under the management of Wang Jianyue, had become the best unit in the 28th Division in terms of military appearance, discipline, and ideology!

In May 1944, Wang Jianyue was promoted to the post of deputy division commander and acting division commander of the 8th Division of the 57th Army. At this time, the Japanese were preparing to launch the "No. 1 Operation" (i.e., the Battle of Yuxianggui) to open up the mainland's land communication line. Upon learning of this, Wang Jianyue immediately led his troops from Shaanxi to garrison the lingbao area of western Henan. Under his command, the 8th Division successfully thwarted several Japanese offensives.

In June, Wang Jianyue had to order an attack on Shaanzhou. On 2 June, he took advantage of the gap between the enemy's two defensive forces and braved the rain to launch a surprise attack on the Japanese. The defeated Japanese retreated to Wuyuan Village, and general Wang personally led the 24th Regiment to attack Wuyuan Village. Unexpectedly, reinforcements from the Japanese Kou arrived quickly. Seeing that the attacking troops were about to be eaten by the Japanese Kou, Wang Jianyue was not afraid of life and death, personally covered the retreat of his subordinates, and finally escaped safely. The next day, with the support of artillery, the 8th Division once again launched an offensive, not afraid of Japanese reinforcements, and repeatedly charged with the Japanese at Wuyuan Village, and the position was lost and regained, and it was better to die than retreat. After the battle, the 8th Division's original 9,700 officers and men fought only 1,200. The strength of one division is stunned to have only half a regiment left!

At 5 o'clock on June 5, the Japanese 7th Division once again launched an offensive against the positions of the 8th Division with tanks. After a bitter battle, the 23rd Regiment of officers and men of the 8th Division dragged the Japanese until the early morning of the 6th at the cost of all the soldiers of 5 companies, and only then did the friendly 106th Division change its defense.

And the opening scene happened here. Soon after the 106th Division took over the defense, the position was broken through by the Japanese army, and Wang Jianyue saw the situation, so he personally led more than 100 people under his command to return to fight again, unfortunately, at the age of 38. If there is anything to commemorate this anti-Japanese soldier, this poem should be very good: "Throwing pen from the baptism of rong, sacrificing the soul of the anti-Japanese battlefield." If he does not meet the long-cherished wish of repaying the country, he will swear to kill the enemy to the death and never return.
