On November 3, 2021, the 2020 National Science and Technology Awards Conference was held in Beijing, and a total of 264 projects, 10 scientific and technological experts and 1 international organization were selected. Among them, the National Natural Science Award awarded 46 projects, including 2 first prizes and 44 second prizes. Li Yan, a native of Zibo, and four others won the second prize of the 2020 National Natural Science Award for their controlled catalytic synthesis project of single-walled carbon nanotubes.
Li Yan, female, born in 1967, a native of Lijiazhuang Village, Lucun Town, Yiyuan County, Zibo City, is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Chemical and Molecular Engineering of Peking University, and obtained bachelor's and master's degrees from Shandong University and a doctorate degree from Peking University. He has published more than 140 papers included in SCI and has more than 10 international and domestic patents. He has won the national outstanding scientific and technological workers, the first prize of science and technology of the China Analytical and Testing Association, the fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the teaching teacher of the Outstanding Youth Fund, the top ten teachers of Peking University, and the 100 most internationally influential papers in China in 2009.
