On November 6, Beijing time, the 2021 BWF Tour Germany Hylo Open ended its quarter-finals, and Malaysia's Li Zijia won 2-0 to reach the men's singles semifinals. Canadian veteran Wenshan Lee swept into the women's singles semifinals, and Indonesia's three-pair men's doubles seed combination only Gideon/Sukamuyo reached the final four, and the other two seed combinations were eliminated by teammates.

Li Zijia met Thailand's Wang Gaolun, the 8th seed, and Li Zijia quickly opened the score in the first set, and he won 21-13. The other three men's singles quarter-finals were all fiercely contested, with Singapore's Luo Jianyou narrowly beating 5th seed Denmark's Gemke 2-1 (21-11, 19-21, 22-20), India's Srikans eliminating No. 3 seed Ng Ka-lang of Hong Kong, China, 2-19 2-1 (21-11, 12-21, 21-19) and another Indian player Sen beating Thailand's Kunlavut 2-1 (21-18, 12-21, 21-19). In the semifinals, Li Zijia faced Srikans, Luo Jianyou and Sen.

In the women's singles, Canadian veteran Wenshan Lee defeated Turkey's Dimibaig 2-0 (21-14, 21-18), and Ambom Lumpan lost two straight sets to defeat another Turkish player, Ijit, 21-18. Singapore's Yang Jiamin and Thailand's Chavan won the other two quarter-finals to advance. In the semi-finals, Yang Jiamin will challenge Li Wenshan, and the two Thai players will stage a derby.

In the men's doubles quarterfinals, top seed Gideon/Sukamuyo defeated Denmark's Lengard/Terry 2-0 (21-14, 21-15) and in the other two Indonesian infighting, Kanando/Massern eliminated No. 2 seeds Ashan/Setiawan 2-0 (22-20, 21-17), and Kusumavadana/Rambitan narrowly defeated No. 3 seed Alfian/Adianto 2-0 (21-11, 25-23). Thailand's Chomke/Caderen eliminated No. 6 seedEd England's Rani/Windery 2-1 (21-18, 20-22, 21-18).

In the semi-finals, Gideon/Sukamuyo will face Chomke/Caderen and the other will be the Indonesian derby.

Thailand's two-pair women's doubles pairs are mixed. Top seeds Kitti Halakur/Prajungja beat The Netherlands' Gilli/Senin 21-15, 21-9, and No. 5 seeds Supajrakur/Taratanacha lost 1-2 (21-15, 22-24, 16-21) to Indonesia's Ramahandi/Sugiato.

In the semi-finals, Kiti Halakur /Prajongga will face Japan's Hoshi Chitomo / Matsuda Ao, and Ramahandi / Sugiato will face another Japanese duo, Iwanaga Suzu / Nakanishi Takaei.

The top two seeds in the mixed doubles both reached the semi-finals. Top seeds Poisranucro/Taratanacha bounced back strongly after losing an inning, winning two straight sets to beat Indonesia's Fazar/Videga 2-1 (20-22, 21-16, 21-16). No. 2 seeds Jordan/Octavidy also played three sets to win, beating Germany's Ramsworth/Lochau 2-1 (21-14, 18-21, 21-12).

The semi-finals will be two Thai and Indonesian duos, with Poisranucoro/Tartanacha facing Indonesia's Rivale/Menthari and Jordan/Octavi Andy against Chomke/Pavissampuran.
