Born in England on 1 October 1935, Julie Andrews earned her fame starring in The Merry Man (1964) and The Sound of Music (1965), both of which have long since become classics in film history.
In addition to being an actress, Julie Andrews is a singer, dancer and theatre director, as well as the author of several best-selling children's books.
