What is loneliness?
▲Lin Yutang // Network
The two words of loneliness are taken apart, there are children, there are melons and fruits, there are puppies, there are mosquitoes and flies, enough to support the mouth of an alley in the middle of a summer evening, full of humanity. Under the willow canopy of the young child, the thin dog chases the butterfly in the deep alley. The world is bustling with laughter, but I have two sideburns. Children's fruit cats and dogs flying flies are of course lively, but they have nothing to do with you, this is Lin Yutang's loneliness.
▲ Whale alice // network
Normal whales have sound frequencies between 15-25 hertz, but whale alice has a sound frequency of 52 hertz, and for decades Alice has been migrating, from warm California to the bone-chilling North Pacific, all the way to the search, unfortunately, it has never received any response of its kind. It's the loneliness of whale alice.
▲ Lick dog // network
A sentence of "In?" This is the loneliness that belongs to "licking dogs.".
▲ Singer Li Zhi // Network
Folk singer Li Zhi once sang in his song "Mr. Van Gogh": We are born lonely, we are born lonely.

In fact, in the concept of geography, there is also one of the loneliest places: Nemo Point.
Nemo Point, officially known as oceanic pole of inaccessibility, is the most remote site on earth's surface from land, located on the surface of the sea at 48°52.6′s 123°23.6′w in the middle of the South Pacific.
▲Pacific //google map
It was discovered in 1992 by Canadian survey engineer Lucatella. He used a geospatial program called Hipparchus that he had designed to locate the site.
▲Nemo point // network
Because the Nemo point package is sandwiched in the middle of the sea area surrounded by the South Pacific circulation, it blocks the influx of nutrient-rich and low-temperature external seawater, and the long distance between the land mass and the local area also means that the point lacks organic matter washed into the sea on land, and there is no way to form marine snow to maintain the deep-sea ecosystem, but some seabed bacteria can survive in the nearby East Pacific Seamount.
▲Deep sea // network
It is worth mentioning that 5 years after the Nemo point was identified, oceanographers recorded the most mysterious sound in the history of natural science in this area: the bloop, which was found at sea as a large monster believed to be a narwhal.
▲Whale // network
French biologist Aronnax was invited to participate in the hunt. This ultra-low frequency deep-sea audible signal was detected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in the summer of 1997. The sound was so loud and low that the largest blue whale in the ocean could not make it. The sound of the sea monster has not appeared since.
In Latin, "nemo" also means "no man" – which sums up the characteristics of Nemo's poles very well.
▲Dixie Island // Network
The nearest land mass is 2688 km away from Nemo Point, a place called Dixie Island, which is part of the Pitcairn Archipelago and has no inhabitants on the island. The island is shaped in the English letter "c" and is about 2.4 km long from northeast to southwest.
The closest human-infested place to Nemo Point is the 400-kilometer-high International Space Station.
▲ Space station // network
However, it is precisely because of the isolation of Nemo Point that many countries have dropped the wreckage of spacecraft here to avoid unnecessary environmental pollution and accidents. Stijin Lemmens, a space debris expert at the European Space Agency (ESA), said that in addition to the specific remote land, the biodiversity of Nemo Point is also very low, making it the most popular "junkyard" for controlled falls.
The "remains" of more than 260 spacecraft rest here. Most of them belong to Russia, with more than 140 space supply ships, 6 Salyut space stations, and the Soviet-era Mir space station. There is also a SpaceX rocket, 5 cargo ships of the European Space Agency, and 6 HTV cargo ships of Japan.
Mir space station // network before the crash
So far, the largest object that has fallen at Nemo Point is the 120-ton Russian space station Mir, which fell in 2001, while the 420-ton International Space Station (ISS), which is expected to terminate its mission in 2024, will also crash into the waters.
▲Marine pollution //network
In addition, human garbage will also be washed into this place by the sea and accumulate year by year.
This most isolated place, although rarely involved by humans, can not avoid the fate of pollution.
What is true loneliness? It is a kind of loneliness to turn against the child melon fruit dog fly, it is a kind of loneliness to find fruitless with a companion, and it is a kind of loneliness to ask a "friend" "Is it there?" "It's a kind of loneliness.
And Nemo point, even if it is thousands of miles away from human beings, human beings have not forgotten to "use" it, and today the loneliness of Nemo point is nourished by "utilization", and the loneliness of Nemo point will also spread to human beings.
The of a thousand feet, the nest of ants, the chamber of a hundred feet, the smoke of the gap. The loneliness of Nemo Point should not be the smoke of the collapsed ant nest and the burning chamber, but a mysterious and clean blue sea.
