"Paradigm and Situation" and "Self-Nature and Empathy" are two exhibition units with Chinese painting as the main body, complementing each other, the former mainly presents the "landscape painting" as a high-level art genre of Chinese painting, the paradigm change required by different eras in the process of China's modernization, presenting works including Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong, Zhang Daqian, Wu Hufan, Li Keyan and other painters; the latter mainly takes the lyrical tradition of Chinese poetry connotations of Chinese painting as a clue, and the dialectical imagery of epic and lyrical, reality and romance. It is interpreted as an empathy mechanism that sublimates in life and transcends the limitations of time and space, and recognizes its own internal "Chineseness" from the perspective of the will to life.
