CCTV News: On the evening of November 5, Chengdu held a press conference to report on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. Fan Shuangfeng, director of the Emergency Office of the Chengdu Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention, said that the first confirmed case of this round of epidemic has a clear epidemiological exposure history, and there is a trajectory overlap between a confirmed case in Lanzhou and Lanzhou.

So far, the Sichuan Provincial And Municipal Disease Control Department and West China Hospital have jointly established a gene traceability platform, and have completed the whole gene sequencing of the new coronavirus in the first 3 indigenous cases, confirming that it is a Delta variant strain, which is the same as the epidemic in northwest China.
