In the case that the public video could not provide effective clues, the police finally found the owner through a string of barcodes on the outer packaging of the cigarette.
On the afternoon of January 13, Mr. Hao, a citizen, came to the Huangjing Police Station of the Taicang City Public Security Bureau with a bundle of cigarettes, saying that when he drove to the Yangtze River Shipyard section of the LuheWai River Embankment in Huangjing Town, he found a foreign object on the road, and after stopping, he found that it was a bundle of cigarettes. He originally wanted to wait for the owner on the spot, but he still had something to do, because the number of cigarettes was large, and it was more secure to send them to the police station when he thought about it carefully, so he drove directly to the Huangjing office with cigarettes and handed them over to the police.
After the police counted, this bundle of cigarettes has a total of 13 Zhonghua, 5 Liqun, 2 Suyan, 2 Yellow Crane Tower, 1 Golden Leaf, 1 Nanjing, 1 Huangshan, a total of 25, according to the market retail price of nearly 10,000 yuan. The police did a good job of registration and praised his noble quality of collecting gold, Mr. Hao said that this was just what he should do, and then left in a hurry.
After that, the police tried to find relevant information about the lost owner by retrieving the public video around the incident, but because the road section where the cigarette was lost was relatively remote, it was impossible to obtain effective clues. The next day, in the process of carefully inspecting the cigarettes, the police found that the outer packaging of these cigarettes were printed with the distribution bar code of the Taicang Tobacco Bureau and the number was the same, after obtaining the important information, the police immediately got in touch with the staff of the Taicang Tobacco Bureau, and successfully traced back to the buyer of this batch of cigarettes as Xu Mou, and contacted Xu X himself by telephone to be the owner, and notified him to the police station to claim it.
After entering the police station, Xu Mou saw his lost cigarettes excitedly, he said that he ran a grocery store, just purchased cigarettes in the blink of an eye all lost, a heavy loss of heart is particularly uncomfortable, at that time only to blame themselves, did not think of calling the police for help, never expected the police to take the initiative to contact themselves.
