Luo Shengjiao, formerly known as Yucheng, is now a native of Songshan Township. Born in the 20th year of the Republic of China (1931). When he was young, he successively entered the local Restoration and Wende Primary School, and then dropped out of school due to his family's poverty. In the winter of the 34th year of the Republic of China, he went to his uncle's house in the town of Soli in Qiancheng County (now part of Jishou City). In the spring of the following year, he entered the provincial Ninth Division Affiliated Elementary School. In 1936, he was admitted to the Provincial Ninth Division, and after graduation, he was promoted to the high school of the Provincial Thirteenth Middle School to study, and changed his name to Shengjiao.

In 1949, Luo Shengjiao's hometown of Yuanling in western Hunan was liberated. In November of that year, Luo Shengjiao, who was only 18 years old, with the red heart of defending his family and defending the country, walked to Yuanling with several classmates to join the 47th Army of the Chinese People's Liberation Army and was admitted to the Xiangxi Military and Political Cadre School. Because Luo Shengjiao's education level is relatively low, it is difficult to listen to the lessons, and it is difficult to grasp the key points and the notes are incomplete. In order not to be left behind, after each class, he would borrow other people's notes, compare them with his own notes, check for defects and fill in the gaps, and then copy them neatly with a pen. In the construction of the school, it is necessary to carry a tree that has fallen into the river to the shore to build a bridge. Luo Shengjiao was the first to jump into the cold water. Led by him, twenty or thirty students in the class jumped into the river and finally dragged the tree ashore and built a bridge.
On April 6, 1951, Luo Shengjiao participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea with his unit, and in his family letter after crossing the Yalu River, he wrote: "When I stepped off the bridge and stepped on the korean land, I smelled the smell of smoke and gunpowder. The beautiful city has been blown up by the planes of the beast. All that was left was scorched earth and rubble, and I was heartbroken, in tears, and out of immense anger. I swear: I must destroy the US imperialist bandits, otherwise, I will not be able to bridge this bridge. In August of the same year, in the Battle of Linjinjiang, the reconnaissance company was responsible for the ambush mission of Niuweidong, and Luo Shengjiao was responsible for rescuing the wounded at the front line, crossing the river and building a pontoon bridge, covering the safety of the wounded with his body, and entering the sea of fire to rescue Korean women and children. Witnessing the tragic situation of the US invading army and the North Korean compatriots, Luo Shengjiao wrote down an oath with a stroke of his pen: "When I am hit by the aggressor's bullets, I hope that you will not stay in front of my corpse, but should continue to advance bravely to avenge the tens of millions of Korean people and comrades who sacrificed!" ”
In the early morning of January 2, 1952, Luo Shengjiao and his comrade-in-arms Song Huiyun went to the river to practice grenade throwing. In the middle of winter, the river is covered with thick snow and ice, and four North Korean teenagers are skating on the Kashinuma River near Ishida-ri, Narita-gun, South Pyongan Province, laughing. Suddenly, there was a cry for help from there, and one of the teenagers named Cui Ying accidentally fell into the 2.7-meter-deep ice cave, and the other 3 teenagers shouted for help. After Luo Sheng taught the morning exercise, he passed there, heard the shouting, immediately rushed to the place of the accident, grabbed his hat, threw it on the ground, took off his cotton clothes and pants while running, braved the cold of minus 20 ° C, jumped into the ice cave, dived into the water to find, and jumped into the glacier. After a while, Luo Shengjiao surfaced from the river, took a deep breath, and burrowed into the water again. After a while, Luo Shengjiao finally dragged Cui Ying, who had fallen into the water, out of the water. When Cui Ying grabbed the ice surface with both arms and climbed up, suddenly, with a roar, the ice collapsed again, and the teenager fell into the water with the ice. After several twists and turns, Luo Shengjiao's whole body was frozen purple, his body was trembling, it was difficult to support, and his physical strength was almost exhausted. But still with amazing perseverance, he dived into the water again, exhausted his last strength, and after a long time, he pushed Cui Ying out of the water with his head and shoulders. At this time, Song Huiyun had dragged a telephone pole to the river, and Cui Ying hugged the pole and was pulled ashore. People rescued The Luo Sheng Sect, but the Luo Sheng Sect was exhausted and unable to surface, and finally sacrificed his young life at the age of 21.
After the sacrifice of The Luo Sheng Sect, the Korean people buried the body on the mountain of Fo Ti Dong in the Korean stone field. In February 1953, the Political Department of the Chinese Volunteer Army posthumously remembered the special merits of the Luo Shengjiao martyrs once and awarded him the title of "First Class Model of Loving the People". On April 1 of the same year, the Central Committee of the Chinese New Democratic Youth League posthumously recognized the martyr Luo Shengjiao as a model youth league member. In June of the same year, the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK posthumously awarded the Rasang-yō National Flag Medal of the First Class, and built a memorial pavilion and monument on the foti-dong Mountain, which was engraved with Chairman Kim Il Sung's handwritten inscription: "The internationalist spirit of the Rassang-esong martyrs will coexist with the Korean people forever." On May 30, 1954, more than 400 dprk-China friendship delegations visited China, and specially arranged a special delegation to visit Xinhua, and Cui Ying accompanied the delegation to visit the hometown of Luo Shengjiao, and prepared ginseng and other valuable gifts, recognized the parents of the martyrs as parents, and called them parents in Chinese. The martyr's father, Luo Dikai, went to Pyongyang twice to accept the Order of the National Flag of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Second Class. In April 1985, at the western end of the Zijiang Bridge in Xinhua County, the Luoshengjiao Memorial Hall was built, and the North Korean ambassador to China, the political commissar of the martyr's unit before his death, and the party and government leaders of the province and county attended the opening ceremony. The former commander of the Volunteer Army, personally wrote an inscription for the museum: "The martyrs of the Internationalist Luo Sheng Sect will always live in the hearts of the people." ”
