As a well-known French writer in the middle of the 19th century, Gustaff ▪ Flaubert unswervingly adhered to the creative theory of "objectivity and indifference", and maintained the habit of careful observation and analysis of things. Flaubert put his discovery and judgment on the French social and political system, economic policy, cultural customs, customs and customs, etc., showing the social morality and mission shouldered by a writer with a conscience.

Flaubert experienced the February Revolution, the July Revolution, the Second Reich, etc. in France, and saw that behind the social prosperity was political corruption, moral degeneration, materialism, personality decline, and people were full of deceit but lack of trust and sincerity. Flaubert, who saw the ills of society, did not sit idly by, but carefully analyzed the causes of these problems, and strived to warn more people who were still in a state of chaos through his works.

From the perspective of surviving articles, Flaubert's works reflect the style of the French era from 1848 to 1871, mainly exposing the ugly and vulgar bourgeois society, showing the ugliness of bourgeois society, and at the same time praising and affirming those lovely people. Between 1843 and 1845 Flaubert wrote the first draft of The Education of Emotions. In 1869, the book was completed. In this book, the author tells "the story of a young man".

The protagonist of the novel, Fred Lecmoire ▪, comes from a middle-class family in the French provinces. In 1840, Frederick went to paris to attend university, where he met mr. and mrs. Arnu on the trip and fell in love with Madame Arnu. After returning to Paris, Frederick tried to get close to her, hoping to stay with her.

Madame Arnu was loyal, dignified and sedate, and did not accept Fredlice's overtures. Unable to get Lady Arnu's love, Frederick marries the courtesan Rosani and has a child. Since then, Fredlik has been trapped in an emotional vortex and cannot extricate himself.

At the same time, Fredrick was keen to socialize with various political figures and did not care to study his homework, resulting in academic waste. Due to the family's financial difficulties, Frederick had to live in seclusion in his hometown. It was not until 1845, after receiving an inheritance from his uncle, that Frederick returned to Paris and devoted himself to the stock speculation business, hoping to make a fortune.

When the February Revolution broke out in February 1848, Frederick was enthusiastic and determined to dedicate himself to the revolution. But by the time of the June Revolution, his political zeal had vanished and could not be found. In order to squeeze into the upper class, Frederick tried his best to pursue the wife of the big banker Bross, but was refused. Forced to do so, Fredlice returned to his hometown in search of his admirer, Louise, who had married his friend Delle Lorier. The novel ends with Fredlice and Delore roasting a fire by the fire and reminiscing about their absurd lives together.

Frederick's originally hopeful, brilliant life was truly destroyed by unrealistic fantasies and dissenting instincts. Disillusionment is a kind of growth, blindly indulging in disillusionment, and people will lose the foundation of survival in the real world. Just guessing what the world looks like in a beautiful fantasy, but refusing to face reality can only become a poor utopian. The world may not be that good, but it's definitely not so bad that it's desperate.

When the pursuit of noble ideals drops again and again, and becomes more and more vulgar and decadent, people with weak spirits should raise their spirits and adjust their mentality to face the challenges of life. Young people who are full of courage and wisdom should especially face up to the emotional fantasies of romanticism, cultivate diversified interests and hobbies, and find the things that they really love in life, so as to avoid spiritual disillusionment and degeneration.
