At present, ZTE is continuing to make efforts in high-performance servers, distributed databases, new data centers, end-to-end digital transformation solutions, industry modules to help new infrastructure, high-performance switches, and transportation.
However, in Wang Xiang's view, the process of 5G empowering thousands of industries is still in the introduction period. "The expansion of new industries requires a cycle, usually there is an introduction period, a development period, a mature period, at least two or three cycles to allow an industry to enter the mature stage." At present, digital transformation is still in the introduction period, and some industries are developing towards maturity. From the current state of view, an industry can be rapidly developed, in addition to the need for technical support, but also have commercial feasibility. ”

When talking about how to measure commercial value, Wang Xiang said that the industrial Internet will take the lead in popularizing in areas with relatively high value. "At present, the areas that are developing better are, on the one hand, to solve safety problems and replace people's work in dangerous environments, such as digital mines and digital factories; on the other hand, they are reflected in high value-added products, such as aircraft manufacturing, 5G equipment production, etc." ZTE itself has also begun to try to experiment with itself, 'making 5G with 5G'. Through digital transformation, the production efficiency and production quality of enterprises are rapidly improved, and the value it embodies is also relatively easy to measure. ”
With the accelerated development of the industrial Internet, the industrial Internet platform with huge business opportunities has also become a battlefield for giants, participating in the competition of both Internet companies, ict industries, and manufacturing leaders. So, how does ZTE get out of the differentiated route?
In this regard, Wang Xiang pointed out that ZTE has the ability to implement the whole process. "The Industrial Internet is a complex and huge system engineering, involving perception, transmission, intelligence and technology, etc., ZTE is confident in making good plans in specific application scenarios." At the same time, ZTE is also increasing the expansion of the entire industry ecology, in addition to our own capabilities, ZTE also joined hands with more than 500 partners in the industry to expand together, it should be said that 'ZTE + partners' will jointly complete the implementation of the entire program. ”
According to the 2020 annual report released by ZTE recently, in terms of government and enterprise affairs, ZTE achieved revenue of 11.272 billion yuan, an increase of 23.12% year-on-year, of which domestic government and enterprise affairs achieved a growth of more than 30%. In addition to focusing on operator business, ZTE proposed that it has upgraded the government and enterprise affairs to a strategic level. According to Wang Xiang, in order to fully support the expansion of government and enterprise business, ZTE will increase special investment in product research and development for the government and enterprise markets, and the research and development expenditure in this sector has doubled last year. "We expect the growth rate [of government and enterprises] to be faster this year."
Wang Xiang said: "This year is a key year for ZTE, and the core of our development period is 'solidifying the foundation and expanding the new'. 'Guben' is for the traditional industry or the part of the operator in the communication, which is our basic work; 'Tuoxin' refers to ZTE's government and enterprise and terminal businesses, which are also the two businesses with the largest future market space and change space. This year, we will deploy relevant work according to the established rhythm to lay a solid foundation for ZTE to smoothly enter the transcendence period next year. ”
From the perspective of specific measures, ZTE will increase the investment in government and enterprise marketing resources, integrate supply chain, brand, marketing and other resources, and fully support the expansion of government and enterprise business. In terms of products, Wang Xiang revealed that ZTE's product research and development investment in the government and enterprise markets has doubled last year, and this year will increase special investment to enable the cloud network base solution to be implemented. In terms of channels, ZTE will increase the transformation and upgrading of IT, process, incentives and empowerment, etc., and improve channel service capabilities, with the goal of building a "tropical rainforest" ecological environment.
In addition, at the beginning of this month, ZTE will set up an automotive electronic product line internally, which has also attracted much attention from the outside world. In this regard, Wang Xiang stressed that ZTE only does "being integrated", and the establishment of automotive electronic product lines is an extension of ict business.
Wang Xiang continued, "The new car is a change with the 'four modernizations' as the core, that is, electrification, intelligence, networking, and sharing. Among them, intelligence and network connection are the traditional strengths of ZTE, so ZTE's establishment of automotive electronics is natural. We are committed to providing basic services for devices, software, operating systems, electronics, information and computing related capabilities in the automotive field. We will not build cars, but we will be a good partner for car companies, and we can provide new support and services for car companies in the new electric intelligent network. ”
According to Wang Xiang, ZTE is currently facing industrial embedded operating systems, including automobiles, and the shipment of related products has exceeded 200 million sets.
