For 16 years, Wang Dong and his wife will not give up a little clue, travel all over the country, he has only one thought in his mind: to find his son Xiaowei.
Xiao Wei was abducted when he was 5 years old, and after many times he tried to find relatives, but he gave up because of his age. Times passed, and the person who abducted him, his adoptive father, was also sentenced to life imprisonment for other criminal offenses.
In the early morning of July 25, 2021, the Shanghai police traveled to many places and finally brought Xiao Wei back to Shanghai from Guangxi, fulfilling wang Dong's 16-year dream of looking for a son.
At about 9:30 a.m. that day, in the wind and rain, a police car stopped not far from the place where the relatives were recognized, and a young man got out of the car. Wang Dong and his wife rushed desperately to their son Xiao Wei who came in the rain, and the rain was accompanied by tears, and the family hugged each other tightly.

In June 2005, Wang Dong, a migrant worker in Baoshan, Shanghai, went to the Yanghang Police Station of the Baoshan Branch of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau to report to the police, saying that his 5-year-old son Xiaowei had gone missing while playing near Yanghang East Street, and provided photos of his son and some physical characteristics. After receiving the report, the Baoshan police filed a criminal case.
With no witnesses and no public video, the case was solved. For more than a decade, the Baoshan police have focused on this case many times, and as soon as there is a clue, they will immediately re-investigate and collect evidence, and accompany Wang Dong and his wife to Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong and other places to carry out investigation and identification on many occasions.
In 2021, the Ministry of Public Security deployed a "reunion operation", and the Baoshan police relied on the "National Public Security Information System for Finding Abducted and Missing Children" to extensively sort out and visit abductees and missing persons. In mid-June, the police obtained an important clue during the visit: Wang Dong's son, Xiao Wei, was most likely abducted by a Sichuanese man who had worked in Shanghai to be raised in his native country. The police immediately launched an investigation around Xiao Wei's personnel who were nationals in Shanghai and Sichuan during his disappearance, and analyzed and judged through a large number of visits and massive information.
In mid-July 2021, a man from Nanchong, Sichuan Province, Liang Mou, who worked in Shanghai from 2000 to 2005, returned to his hometown in Sichuan in 2005. He also has a son, Xiao Kun, who was born in May 2001, similar to the time of the missing Xiao Wei.
Comparing the photos of Xiao Wei before his disappearance provided by Wang Dong with the photos of Xiao Kun now, the police found that the two had many similarities, so they immediately rushed to Nanchong, Sichuan Province, and learned from the local police that Liang mou was now serving a prison sentence for criminal offenses, while Xiao Kun was working in Guangxi.
On July 22, the police rushed to Guangxi to find XiaoKun. On July 23, with the assistance of the Guangxi police, through biometric comparison, it was confirmed that Xiaokun was Xiaowei, the son whom Wang Dong had been looking for for 16 years, and told the Wang Dong family the news.

Since Xiao Wei's disappearance, Mr. and Mrs. Wang Dong have been looking for their children everywhere, publishing a large number of search notices through newspapers, radio and the Internet, but whenever there are sporadic clues, no matter how far away they are, they will rush to find them.
In the 16th year of searching for a son, Wang Dong and his wife gave up the original water intention and traveled all over the country, looking for it again and again, but in exchange for disappointment again and again. When the police came to the door to inform the news that their son had been found, Wang Dong and his wife hugged and cried.
On the other hand, Xiao Wei's life was not good. Xiao Wei said that the process of being abducted is a bit of a memory, he knows that he is not Liang's own child, since he was a child, he has always wanted to run but because of his young age, he does not know where to look for his biological parents, and he has been locked in the house by Liang twice. After Xiao Wei was abducted to Sichuan, he was raised by Liang and his ex-wife Wang, and a few years later, Liang and Wang divorced, and xiaowei was sent to Liang's parents to raise. A few years later, Liang was sentenced to life imprisonment for other criminal offenses.
After finishing junior high school, Xiao Wei went to work alone in other places due to family life difficulties. In the past few years, he also thought about looking for his own biological parents, but because he was young at the time, he did not know where he was taken away by Liang, so he has not been successful.
On the afternoon of July 22, when Xiao Wei saw the police in Shanghai coming to him, he knew that they must have come to help him find his biological parents.
After agreement, the two sides decided to recognize their relatives in Shanghai on July 25.
On July 24, police officers working in Guangxi accompanied Xiao Wei from Guangxi to Shanghai overnight. On the morning of July 25, in Yangxing, Baoshan, Wang Dong and his wife waited early at the place of recognition arranged by the police, looking forward to the arrival of their son Xiaowei. When the son stepped out of the police car, Wang Dong and his wife rushed to the son desperately, and the family hugged each other tightly.
