The reporter learned from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics that the new world record of the endurance time of the "Feng Ru No. 3-100" unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the young scientific research team of the university was officially certified by the International Aeronautical Federation (FAI).

According to reports, the UAV lasted 80 hours, 46 minutes and 35 seconds, surpassing the world record of 80 hours, 2 minutes and 52 seconds set by the "Orion" oil-moving fixed-wing UAV developed by aurora flight science company in the United States in 2014, and jumped to the top of the world's nitro fixed-wing UAV (weight class without difference) endurance time.

According to the relevant person in charge of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the record-breaking team is composed of 25 undergraduate students from different grades and different majors, with an average age of no more than 20 years old, and more than 90% of them are "post-00s".

It is understood that the "Feng Ru No. 3-100" UAV is developed, designed and manufactured by the "Feng Ru No. 3" team of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the whole aircraft is black, the wingspan is about 10 meters, the fuselage is submarine-shaped, made of carbon fiber composite materials, and the potential application areas include surveying and mapping, communications and reconnaissance.
