author:Meet Xianyang

"Driving a car, living in a building, using a computer to surf the Internet... Things that I didn't dare to think about in the past are now slowly realized, and some villagers have bought houses in the city, which has really changed dramatically. On October 10, the reporter came to the Erchang Village of Tingkou Town, Changwu County, and met Wang Junjun, a villager who was picking apples in the field, and he told the reporter about the changes in the village in the past 40 years of reform and opening up.

Before the reform and opening up, in Wang Junjun's memory, the meal was mainly based on miscellaneous grains, corn flour and buckwheat noodles were the most common foods, and wheat noodles were relatively few. "And there are no vegetables, and if you want to eat meat, you can only have the opportunity to eat it until the Spring Festival and the red and white celebrations in the village."

Wang Junjun recalled that after the implementation of the household contract system in the village, the villagers' enthusiasm for labor was unprecedentedly high, and they got up early and went to the fields to do farm work. "Every three summers when people cut wheat, mill wheat, dry wheat, and after the bag of wheat is piled up, the villagers always have to count how many bags of wheat have been collected this year, more or less than last year." Wang Junjun said. "After the package production arrived at the household, everyone's life slowly became better, and wheat noodles gradually replaced the grains." Wang Junjun said that in the 1980s and 1990s, villagers increased their income by developing the apple industry.

"Now, most of the villagers have planted apples, and in recent years, there have been many merchants, and the price of apples is good." Speaking of the history of apple cultivation in the village, Wang Junjun opened the conversation box, he said that in his impression, the village began to grow apples around 1986, when the county government organized village cadres to go to Liquan County to study and began to encourage the masses to plant apples, and around 2000, the government issued policies to support the masses to plant apples in large areas.

"These 5 acres of fruit trees were planted by me in 2003, and after the fruit was in full bloom, the yield was very high. Last year's output of 29,000 catties sold for 80,000 yuan. Wang Junjun said happily that sales are now very convenient, and there are often merchants who come to the village to buy.

"Now the national policy is good, the countryside has popularized the Internet, the village has built an e-commerce platform, and there are service points opened by major logistics companies in the town, as long as you want to sell apples, you can sell them at the first time." Moreover, the current WeChat Pay also provides convenience for everyone, and selling apples in the circle of friends is also a method. Wang Junjun said.

The standard of living has improved year by year, and the channels for Wang Junjun's income increase have become wider and wider. Over the years, Wang Junjun has worked on a flour grinder, worked as a pipeline installer in the Nanjing Water Supply Company, and crossed the well under the coal mine... In 2016, after the completion of the meat donkey ecological breeding base, Wang Junjun entered the donkey factory to work, last year he worked for more than seven months to earn more than 20,000 yuan, plus apple sales of more than 80,000 yuan, Wang Junjun net income of more than 100,000 yuan. This year, Wang Junjun also raised 5 female donkeys, which will show benefits next year.

In recent years, with the implementation of the strategy of beautiful countryside and rural revitalization, the Erchang Village of Tingkou Town has undergone earth-shaking changes. Water circuits reached every household, donkey factories and photovoltaic power plants were built in the village, infrastructure was improved, and villagers began to dance and exercise like city people. "Now that the national policy is so good, I want to continue to work hard with the help of the spring breeze brought about by reform and opening up, and I believe that greater and better changes are still to come!" Wang Junjun said happily. (Reporter Yuan Sen)
