Starting Thursday, Broadway's most popular new drama will be staged at the malls of Hudson Square and Columbus Circle, and the show will be free to the public.
Stacey Feder, chief operating officer of Hudson Yards, said, "This series is a celebration of the public's long-awaited return to Broadway, and we are excited to offer New Yorkers a weekly free Tony Award-winning classic repertoire and highly anticipated new Shows in New York," 1010wins reported. ”
The series, which is free to the public, takes place every Monday at 5 p.m. at the Mall at Hudson Square and Thursday at the Mall at Columbus Circle until Dec. 16. Actors from major Broadway repertoire such as Aladdin, Chicago, The Sawtooth Pill, Moulin Rouge, Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, and The Lion King will sing songs from each production.
At the Hudson Square store, the show will be moderated by Beth Nicely, a veteran professional dancer on Broadway, and will be performed on the stage on the fourth floor at 5 p.m.
Tentative schedule for performance dates:
November 8: "Chicago" (25th Anniversary) and "Waitresses"
November 15: Jagged Little Pill
November 22: Aladdin and The Lion King
November 29: "The Phantom of the Opera" and "Diana"
December 6: "Dear Evan Hansen," "Come from Away," "Trevor, and Tina–the Tina Turner Musical"
December 13: Moulin Rouge!, Madame Douffel! (mrs.doubtfire) "Girl from the North Country" and "Tina–the tina turner musical"
At the mall of Columbus Circle, the show will take place on the 2nd floor at 5 p.m.
November 4: 25th Anniversary) and Waitress
November 11: The Phantom of the Opera
November 18: Aladdin and The Lion King
December 2: "Diana," "Dear Evan Hansen," "Girl from the North Country, and "Tina–the Tina Turner Musical"
December 9: Jagged Little Pill
