Recently, a fan of "Tiandao Reward" in Qilu one point @ reporter, reflected that when he bought rapeseed, he repeatedly found that there were blue particles similar to plasticine at the root of rapeseed leaves. "What the hell is this, and is there any harm in eating it?" One fan asked. On the 3rd, the reporter interviewed a number of agricultural experts and learned that this may be a Bordeaux liquid fungicide or a snail killer residue with a tetraacetaldehyde component, no matter which of these two is low toxicity, after full cleaning and soaking, vegetables can still be eaten.

One powder:

Blue particles are sticky and soft

Yi Fan "Tiandao Reward" said that when he bought rapeseed, he found that there were blue particles at the root of the rapeseed leaves, which were sticky and soft to the touch of his hands, like plasticine. "This is not the first time such canola has been encountered."

Yi Fan introduced that the rapeseed he bought in different places found several times that one or two of the vegetables had such blue particles at the roots. "Some are the size of sesame seeds, and some are the size of beans." After encountering it many times, Yi Fan asked, "Does anyone know what this thing is and is there any harm?"

The reporter saw from the photo sent by One Powder that the blue particles can be removed by hand, but there are still colors left on the rapeseed, and the particles are soft when pinched.

On the afternoon of June 3, the reporter visited a number of vegetable markets and did not find this blue particle on vegetables. However, in a fresh supermarket near the New Hope Garden Community in Tangye Greenland, the reporter saw that one of the leaves in the rapeseed had a blue dot-like mark on the outside, but there was no particulate matter.

expert:

Low toxicity fungicide or snail killer

What exactly is blue particulate matter? The reporter will provide a photo of a powder for a number of vegetables, agricultural experts to judge, experts believe that it should be a low-toxic fungicide or a low-toxic snail killer.

The relevant staff of the Agricultural Product Quality Supervision Department of the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Agriculture said that from the photos, this should be a blue sail, which belongs to the fungicide, which can prevent vegetable rot, and the green leafy vegetables can extend the shelf life after use. During the planting process, blue alum is also added to the fertilizer.

"The main component of this substance is copper sulfate, which can be used as a pesticide, and bordeaux, which is common in life, is a pesticide processed with blue alum, which has excellent insecticidal effect." The staff member said that blue alum can also be kept fresh, and some fruits will also be smeared with blue alum in order to extend the storage time. This substance is soluble in water and thoroughly cleaned before consumption. "The more common Bordeaux liquid is a low-toxicity fungicide with such substances added, and it is also allowed to be used in the green food planting process."

Yang Lijian, head of the Agricultural Product Quality Branch of the Shandong Agricultural Expert Advisory Group, also found cases that had been found in other places before. "This should be a snail killer with tetraacetaldehyde added, generally with blue or green residues on the leaves, and is a low-toxic pesticide used to deal with snails, slugs (slugs), Fushou snails, nail snails and other mollusks."

Yang Lijian introduced that the active ingredient of the snail killer is "tetraacetaldehyde", white crystal, insoluble in water, usually need to be made into granules, powders or suspensions together with excipients and then used. The color of the snail killer particles comes from the dye and is green or blue, making it easier for farmers to record the application. Blue is more common and the color is eye-catching, which can avoid birds from accidentally eating it. According to the pesticide registration information, it is a low-toxicity pesticide, and its toxicity to other organisms other than snails is also very small.

"The residue is related to the interval period, but also related to the irregular application, this kind of snail killer does not need to be sprinkled directly on the dish, it can be sprinkled between the two rows of vegetables." Yang Lijian introduced.

"It is recommended to remove the attached agent first, wash it with water, and then soak it in lye water (add alkali noodles) or tao rice water for ten minutes, and be sure to fry (cook) cook or pickle before eating." Yang Lijian also suggested that if the public found it when buying green vegetables in the market, they could not buy it.
