On July 21st, the Smart Logistics Summit held by Jizhijia, a leading start-up company in the field of mobile robots in China, was held in Shanghai.
At the meeting, two core executives, Zheng Yong, CEO of Jizhijia, and Li Hongbo, CTO, shared the latest development and application of AGV/AMR robots in the field of intelligent logistics, and also announced the company's latest strategic direction on the spot, focusing on intelligent logistics solutions; realizing the path to "perfect" Zhiyuan. At the same time, it also announced the 4D enabling technology strategy of Jizhijia and the 2.0 upgraded version of Jizhi Cloud Brain.
Zheng Yong, CEO of Jizhijia
Zheng Yong is one of the earliest entrepreneurs in the field of robots reported by Zhidong, from the founding of the robot company Jizhijia in 2015, and in the Double Eleven Shopping Festival of that year, in the e-commerce warehousing and logistics scene, to the current 6 years after its establishment, it has accumulated sales of more than 20,000 robot products for the warehousing and logistics industry, covering more than 500 projects.
After the meeting, Zheng Yong, CEO of Jizhijia, accepted an in-depth interview with a small number of media, including Zhidong, in response to Zhidong's questions, Zheng Yong said that it has been 6 years since its establishment, and now the company is also working hard in the direction of listing; at the same time, the positioning of Jizhijia is a world-class robot company, not limited to the field of smart logistics, and there will be a new direction of product launch this year.
The following are the dry goods points of Zheng Yong's interview and exchange:

First, the robot is the main channel, not limited to the warehousing and logistics market

Zhidong first asked Zheng Yong, in his speech he emphasized that Jizhijia's positioning is a robot company, in addition to the field of warehousing and logistics, it will also extend the product to which scenarios and product forms.
Zheng Yong replied that whether to be a smart logistics company or a robot company, there was a discussion within the team, and the final choice was the robot track. Now choose to cut into the logistics warehousing robot, but also in the preparation of more new areas of products, will be soon, this year will have new products out.
Robots are now in rapid outbreaks and will be used in more directions. From logistics and manufacturing scenarios to commercial service scenarios, it also includes the empowerment of smart cities and future home scenarios.
"Emphasizing that Jizhijia is a robot product company, it also wants to explain its positioning in the logistics industry chain." Zheng Yong stressed.
Zhi Dong also asked Zheng Yong whether he was preparing for listing on the Science and Technology Innovation Board, and Zheng Yong said that he was working hard in the direction of listing, hoping that the time would not be too long.

Second, the target: 3 years 100,000 units of cumulative sales

In response to on-site media questions, Zheng Yong said that at the current stage of the company's development, project implementation has become a bottleneck in development, and the solution is to use technology to solve, more quickly complete product customization, and more quickly match customer needs.
Another feasible path is to develop more partners, so that the industry will gradually build an industrial chain division of labor like ERP and manufacturing robots, and there are companies dedicated to implementation.
The company's past business progress, Zheng Yong said that in 2020, the cumulative sales of more than 10,000 units, the end of June 2021 more than 20,000 units, the second 10,000 units than the first 10,000 units of realization much faster, hope to achieve 3 years of 100,000 units of sales schedule.
From the perspective of revenue distribution, Zheng Yong revealed that at present, the business of Jizhijia Chinese mainland accounts for about 40%, about 60% of the business is overseas, and the overall 50% to 60% of the business comes from manufacturing. New industry opportunities include lithium batteries, photovoltaic industry demand by leaps and bounds, you can get a lot of opportunities.
From the perspective of large-scale development, Zheng Yong believes that with the development of manufacturing scale, there is still about 30% of the cost reduction space, and the annual output of 50,000 units will be a very critical node.
When it comes to the emergence of acquisitions in the industry and the competition of established industrial robot companies, it is normal for traditional industrial robot giants to enter this market through mergers and acquisitions, and more and more companies are involved, which also indicates the prospects of this market.
Talking about the heat of the robot industry in the capital market this year, Zheng Yong sighed that there are still many robot companies that have taken a lot of money this year, and originally thought that capital would cool down, but in the long run, the competition in the Chinese market should become more and more mature.

Third, the short-term is not to make a profit as the first purpose

Is the 6-year business seeking profitability or the scale and technology accumulation of the enterprise? Zheng Yong's choice is, or will pursue business growth, technology accumulation.
"Profit or not profit depends on the company's development strategy, whether it is the pursuit of profit or development, if it is profitable, it will not recruit so much technology, but more sales", Zheng Yong said, as long as investors continue to believe in the track of robots, they will continue to accumulate products and technologies.
Some media asked that the retail industry format changes quickly, as the back-end service industry how to adapt to the front-end changes, Zheng Yong said that the current retail industry application accounted for between 10 and 20%, many of which are overseas projects; fast-paced changes in the format is not suitable for automation, the process of trying, there will indeed be a lot of changes, such as community retail, the pattern is not yet determined, now spend money mainly on drainage, has not yet built their own logistics competitiveness.

epilogue:

Technology entrepreneurship, both to have a technical roof but also to have a landing application site, the same is true for the mobile robot industry.
Finally, when it comes to the construction of long-term development competitiveness, Zheng Yong believes that the construction of competitive barriers and patents are very important. On the one hand, jizhijia's current valuation and financing are one of the largest start-up companies in the industry, and at the same time, the future does not rule out the possibility of development through investment and mergers and acquisitions.
