Many people with achievements have personalities, and indeed, Lao Zhuang is full of energy. In the early 1980s, Lao Zhuang was transferred from the factory to the regional literary federation, and when his superior assigned him administrative work, he said, I write and paint, I can't do the work you give me, if I have to do it, then transfer me back to the same place, where I can read and paint as much as I want. The district set up a painting academy, and the leader talked to Mr. Zhuang and made him the dean.
Lao Zhuang said that I would only deal with the four treasures of the literary room, and if I became an official, I would be a vice president. Later, the relevant departments elected Lao Zhuang as a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and he said very simply: I am not good at participating in and discussing state affairs, so let me give up my quota to others. In that year, the China Artists Association organized a national exhibition of professional painters, and a vice chairman of the China Artists Association came to Hebei to supervise the creation, and asked Lao Zhuang what he planned to paint. Lao Zhuang replied, wanting to draw Zhong Kui. The Vice-President said, is the subject you chose a little far away from politics? Such works may not be popular. Lao Zhuang said unhappily that the painter's creation should be free, how can it be constrained by the subject matter? Then I quit the event. Since then, he has not participated in any exhibitions with "frames". Once, one of Lao Zhuang's disciples reported good news to him, saying that he was a member of the China Beauty Association and hoped that Mr. Zhuang would also apply to join. Lao Zhuang smiled lightly: This has little to do with me, I can't get into this meeting, I am still me. I remember that in 1999, he held the "Laozhuang Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" at the National Art Museum of China, and many media people, scholars and "fans" came to him to interview, exchange, worship, seek advice or collect works, it is said that at this time it was his scenery and glory, but he quietly disappeared, walked in the Central Plains, strolled through Pushui to find the shadow of Diaomengzhuang Zhou; chased after the traces of the old man riding a bull. In this way, it is said that Lao Zhuang really "suffered" a lot. However, Mr. Lao Zhuang, who has the bone nature of the Immortal Wind Dao, just regards fame and fortune as a passing cloud, and the wealth in his eyes is only knowledge.
Lao Zhuang is like a ripe ear, and the fuller the fruit, the more it hangs its head. Whether people call him "Master", "Dacheng" or "Dashan", he himself is sober-minded and humble. His artistic path is like mountaineering, shoulder to shoulder to explore the bag, stepping through one peak after another, one peak higher than another, peak after peak, climbing endlessly, the goal is always in mind, until the view of the mountains is small.
