Thousands of bibimbap debuted in "Bencheng Arirang"

"Always Follow the Party • Bincheng Arirang" – The 27th Dalian Korean Folk Culture and Art Festival was held on October 23, 2021 in Baiyun Yanshui Park of Dalian Forest Zoo. Hosted by Dalian Public Cultural Service Center, Dalian Municipal Bureau of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, and Dalian Korean Culture and Art Museum, the event was a feast for the eyes, especially the bibimbap of thousands of people, which attracted the applause of the audience.

The Dalian Korean Folk Culture and Art Festival was held, adhering to the development concept of inheritance and innovation, aiming to carry forward the excellent national culture of the Korean people, enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the Korean people, and create a city cultural brand.

The whole performance was wonderful and the atmosphere was warm and cheerful. The audience was enthusiastic and applauded continuously.

Bibimbap is a representative traditional diet of the Korean people, in which various ingredients are added to the rice, stirred well and eaten. This event set up a bibimbap making experience activity for 1,000 people, aiming to better inherit and publicize the national characteristic food culture. Leaders and guests at the scene, as well as friends from the masses, picked up shovels to stir the ingredients together to make tempting bibimbap.

The traditional korean food culture also has strong national characteristics. The Korean cakes, rice sausages, spicy cabbage, cold noodles, mixed orange stalks and other unique flavors on the tip of the tongue in the ethnic catering display area made the crowd feast and linger.

The Korean people love sports. At the Folk Culture and Art Festival, traditional Korean bow and arrow, chess, throwing games, and top pot running traditional folk sports are indispensable projects.

The "Dalian Korean Excellent Photography Exhibition" was also exhibited at the scene, and the works were selected from the excellent works in the Dalian Korean Photography Competition in recent years. The photographers used their lenses to capture the beautiful natural scenery, humanistic customs and the thriving scene of economic and social development, as well as the happy and beautiful life and positive spiritual outlook of the people of all ethnic groups.
