Many places in Beijing intersect with Cao Xueqin, and the "Cao Xueqin and the Dream of the Red Chamber in Beijing Ruins" collection logo

As we all know, there is a Memorial Hall of Cao Xueqin in the Beijing Botanical Garden, which is where he lived in his later years. But in fact, there are still many traces of Cao Xueqin's life in Beijing. From now until December 1, the Beijing Design Society launched the "Cao Xueqin and the Dream of the Red Chamber In Beijing Relics Logo and Guide System" design collection activity, free collection of relevant works from all walks of life, so that more people can understand the origin of Cao Xueqin and Beijing, and realize the integration of cultural inheritance and industrial development.

"Cao Xueqin was born in the canal and grew up in the canal." Song Weizu, the initiator of the solicitation and founder of the Beijing Design Society, introduced that Cao Xueqin spent most of her life in Beijing, and there are a large number of buildings and spaces in Beijing where Mr. Cao lived before his death.

"Some of the streets and temples written in the book 'Dream of the Red Chamber' are still there today." Song Weizu said: In that year, Cao Xueqin went from Jinling to Beijing along the Grand Canal, came to tongzhou to burn the lighthouse, disembarked a large boat at the Zhangjiawan wharf, changed small boats, crossed the Gaobeidian Pingjin Gate along the Tonghui River and entered the Guangqu Gate, and settled at the Garlic City Pass outside the Chongwen Gate. He also visited The Long'an Temple in Guangqu Gate and stayed overnight at the Reclining Buddha Temple in Donghua City. After entering the royal palace, going in and out of the internal school, he wrote "Dream of the Red Chamber" in the seventeen and a half rooms near the garlic city mouth outside the Chongwen Gate, and moved to Huangye Village in Xishan in his later years.

Song Weizu found that except for a few former residences that were listed for protection, most of Cao Xueqin's living relics were still scattered and buried, and they urgently needed to be identified, protected and displayed to the world. This year, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage launched the "Cao Xueqin In Beijing Relics Identification Project" to further promote the culture of red studies, promote the establishment of relevant research platforms and the integration of cultural tourism. On this basis, taking the 2021 Grand Canal Cultural Festival as an opportunity, and under the support and guidance of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage, the Beijing Design Society, together with the Cao Xueqin Research Association, the Beijing Institute of Printing and other units, will hold the "Cao Xueqin and the Dream of the Red Chamber in Beijing Ruins" logo guidance system collection activity from now until December 1.

The content of the collection mainly includes the image LOGO, the plaque of "Cao Xueqin and the Dream of the Red Chamber in Beijing", and the design of the image system for the tourism tour route. Logo design needs to accurately and vividly reflect the identity characteristics of Mr. Cao Xueqin, which is in line with the concept of building a world-class cultural celebrity brand, transmitting Beijing urban culture, and showing the depth of Chinese culture, in line with social welfare values, and transmitting positive energy. There is no fee for this competition, the entries must be original, not stolen or copied, and the best plan will be used for the listing of Cao Xueqin's relics in Beijing and other related visual derivatives.
