Fang Zhimin (1899-1935), a native of Yiyang, Jiangxi Province. Comrade Fang Zhimin was a great proletarian revolutionary, a military strategist, an outstanding leader of the peasant movement, and the founder of the revolutionary base areas in northeast Jiangsu and Fujian, Zhejiang, and Gansu during the period of the agrarian revolutionary war. On January 27, 1935, he was unfortunately captured and imprisoned, and in prison he was unyielding and wrote famous works such as "Lovely China" and "Qing Poverty". On August 6, 1935, Fang Zhimin bravely rebelled in Nanchang at the age of 36.

From 1928 to 1933, the peasants who led the uprising persisted in guerrilla warfare, carried out the agrarian revolution, established the Red regime, formed the 10th Army of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, and created the revolutionary base area in northeast Jiangxi. He combined the universal truth of Marxism with the reality of northeastern Jiangxi and created a whole set of experiences in party building, army building, and red political power.

In June, Fang Zhimin's wife, Miao Min, was arrested and sentenced to life imprisonment in Nanchang Women's Prison. In another prison, when the Kuomintang authorities lured Fang Zhimin, who was tortured, with the feelings of husband and son, Fang Zhimin sternly refused: "I have lost my freedom, how can my wife and children still take care of it?" I had to leave them behind. ”
