The fluttering red scarf, the lofty team salute, and the distinctive symbols of the Young Pioneers have been remembered by generations of Young Pioneers.

On October 13, 1949, the Chinese Children's Team was born, and in 1953 it was renamed "China Young Pioneers", for generations of children, the Young Pioneers were their proudest name.

Over the past 70 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and under the leadership of the Communist Youth League, the Young Pioneers of China have led the Young Pioneers to inherit the cause of their revolutionary ancestors and continuously grow into socialist builders and successors.

Soak up the sun and thrive

The Communist Party of China has always attached importance to the work of children and young pioneers, and has made major arrangements for the cause of children in all periods of revolution, construction, and reform.

In 1922, the Communist Party of China founded the first children's revolutionary organization, the Children's League, in Anyuan, Jiangxi, and thereafter established the Labor Boy Group, the Communist Children's League, the Anti-Japanese Children's League, the Children's League during the Liberation War, and the Underground Young Pioneers.

In January 1949, the Party Central Committee passed a resolution to establish a unified national organization for children and teenagers.

In the past 70 years, the infinite care and affectionate entrustment of the party and the government have pointed out the direction of progress for the cause of the Young Pioneers. Comrades Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin, and Hu Jintao all expressed their ardent hopes for the healthy growth of the Young Pioneers. On June 1, 2015, when General Secretary Xi Jinping met with the delegates of the Seventh National Congress of the Young Pioneers of China, he earnestly hoped that the Young Pioneers organization would keep its mission in mind, educate and guide hundreds of millions of children to be ready to realize the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and encourage the majority of children to "learn to be human, learn to aspire from an early age, and learn to create from an early age."

In 1950, the first national conference of cadres working on children and young people was held, and the flag, team song and team symbol of the Chinese children's team were promulgated - red scarf, team salute and call sign. In 1981, the Third Plenary Session of the Tenth Central Committee of the Communist Youth League issued the Resolution on Strengthening the Work of the Young Pioneers. In 2017, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Ministry of Education, and the National Committee of Young Workers issued the "Reform Plan for the Young Pioneers"...

Over the past 70 years, the party and the government's unlimited care for children has provided a strong driving force for the development of the Young Pioneers' cause.

Bathed in the glory of the party and the government, the seeds of "communist successors" have taken root in young minds, and the cause of the Young Pioneers has flourished, and as of now, there are about 130 million Young Pioneers in the country.

Devote yourself to practice and aspire to serve the country

Over the past 70 years, the Young Pioneers have insisted on carrying out organizational education, independent education, and practical education, encouraging the Young Pioneers to closely link their personal growth with the development of the motherland.

During the period of socialist construction, the Young Pioneers were full of enthusiasm and contributed to the construction of the motherland with little contributions.

"Adults have a big five-year plan, and we must also have a small five-year plan to contribute to the construction of the motherland." In 1955, the Young Pioneers of the whole country actively carried out activities such as planting, breeding, collecting scrap steel, and doing activities such as "Little Mr."

After the reform and opening up, the Young Pioneers continued to broaden their horizons and take new steps together with the motherland.

At the beginning of reform and opening up, the Young Pioneers generally carried out activities such as "everyone is vying to wear a new fashion and little red flower" with "five stresses, four beauty, and three loves" as the main content.

In the 1980s and 1990s, children and teenagers experienced the national conditions, underwent exercises, and made contributions to their abilities in activities such as "large-scale seed castor, support for the four modernizations", "seed picking and supporting gan", "creation cup", "hand in hand", "trans-century Chinese young eagle action", etc.

In the 1998 flood relief struggle, more than 80 million children and teenagers held hands with their friends in the disaster areas, and donated more than 110 million pieces of clothing and learning aids.

Entering a new era, the Young Pioneers' footsteps have become more firm and powerful, and they walk with the dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, activities such as "Red Turban Meets the Chinese Dream" and "Core Values remembered" have attracted nearly 200 million Young Pioneers to participate. 3.532 million children of all ethnic groups have become "hand in hand" partners. The "Red Scarf Dynamic Squadron" activity with "Little Master of the Red Scarf", "Little Maker of the Red Scarf", "Little Builder of the Red Scarf" and so on as the main content is widely carried out in primary and secondary schools across the country.

Do not forget the original intention to continue to struggle

On June 1, 1986, the "Young Pioneer Post" was established in Beijing, and 4,000 Young Pioneers in the capital stood in front of the Monument to the People's Heroes to remember and protect the martyrs.

This activity continues to this day. Li Yaoxuan, a seventh-grade student at Beijing Middle School, a participant in the "Young Pioneer Gang", said, "Guarding heroes is an incomparably glorious and sacred mission. ”

Through the education of the red gene, the Young Pioneers were able to not forget their original mission and establish lofty ideals.

Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the theme activity of "Red Scarf Heart to the Party" has been continuously carried out, and through understanding a party history story, watching a red film and television drama, visiting a party history memorial site, understanding a new achievement of the party, searching for an outstanding party member, and learning to sing a song of love for the party, the Young Pioneers look back at the pioneer road traveled by the revolutionary martyrs in the activity and forge ahead.

Do not forget the original intention, in order to better move forward. The Young Pioneers are also constantly studying and practicing to better grow into successors to the socialist cause.

Since the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the activity of "striving to be a good member of the new era" has been widely carried out in the Young Pioneer organizations at all levels, and the sense of glory and mission of the Young Pioneers has been continuously enhanced through the study and propaganda of "Grandpa Xi's Teaching and Remembering", the practical experience of "I am a little dreamer", the concentrated holding of theme team days, and the active development of the Red Scarf Scramble.

During the "Red Scarf" broadcast every Friday, the Young Pioneer Brigade of the Affiliated Primary School of Beijing Medical University explained to the team members Xi Jinping's grandfather's message to children and teenagers, and Xi Jinping's grandfather's earnest entrustment encouraged the team members to continue to work hard.

The Young Pioneers of Longcheng Primary School in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, visited the grandmother of the old Red Army Chang Jiechun and listened to the story of the Red Army's Long March; walked into the Qu Qiubai Memorial Hall to learn the spirit of revolutionary heroes; and came to the construction site to comfort the hard-working laborers.

The Young Pioneers of the New World Experimental Primary School in Pudong New Area, Shanghai listened to scientists and engineers talk about the development of manufacturing technology at the domestic C919 aircraft assembly manufacturing base. The engraving of "Never Give Up" on the sculpture outside the workshop touched the team member Zhang Ruoke, "I want to study hard, not give up lightly, and learn the spirit of Chinese astronauts' dedication to the country." ”

Chasing dreams with one heart, running hard, and meeting the future with red scarves, the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation will surely become a reality in the continuous struggle of the Young Pioneers in the new era. Under the guidance of the star torch, the Young Pioneers are always ready to fight for the cause of communism!
