Synopsis

A: The first time I met my panda father, Ah Bao's soul was greatly impacted, Li Shan was equivalent to 45-year-old Ah Bao, he was very funny, just like Ah Bao should have, and the relationship between them would make Ah Bao know more about himself. When they first met, there was a scene where they hit their stomachs with "duang" because they were both pandas so they could do it, and you think that if Ah Bao did this to his goose father, the goose father would be "duang" and fly.
Q: What is the truth that the story of the third part is trying to tell us?
a: I'm sure kids and viewers will understand. In the first two films, Ah Bao reached a height, and he felt that this was enough. At the beginning of the movie, master gives Ah Bao a task - to be a teacher, of course, Ah Bao is not good at doing this. But this lesson is important, you have to be better than you are now, to make the most of your strengths, to be the person you are destined to be.
Q: So what kind of enemy did he encounter? How was this character designed with this in mind?
A: Tianxu has superpowers, but everything Ah Bao has experienced so far is not enough for him to resist this supernatural force. Not to mention that Tianxu will also steal "Qi", and he can turn the kung fu master he defeated into his own emerald zombie. Therefore, Ah Bao had to deal not only with Tianxu, but also with all the kung fu masters he had defeated. We want to design Tianxu to be different from the previous villains, Taro is human size, Shen Wangye is much thinner, they want a villain who is more visually intimidating than Taro, so Tianxu is a huge cow, and the other thing is that Tianxu has a sense of humor, in fact, he is a very funny character, he wants to be famous and wants to go crazy, but no one knows him, so he is particularly angry.
Q: The original voice actor was Max Mikkelson, did his withdrawal have a negative impact on the film?
a: Not really. Because in the early stages of animation, there was a lot of testing and exploration, they spent three and a half years in pre-production, trying out various types of characters, and after many rewrites, the characters were no longer the same as they were originally written, so the final version of Tianxu was tailor-made for J.K. Simmons.
q: In the first part, you were the chief story planner, and after the second part, you began to direct the tube, what is the difference between the two jobs?
a: My former job was half writing and half painting, and I became a director because I knew the story and the characters very well. After becoming a director, you will bear more responsibilities, because everyone is staring at you, expecting you to give a decision, give an instruction, a lot of pressure, but there is also more fun, because as a director you can contact more people, more departments, communicate with actors, get support from many parties.

a: Will he gain weight? I don't think so. (Would he lose weight?) I don't think so, he still eats a lot every day, but he's also exercising, so he's in a stable state.

A: He's a panda, but he wasn't raised by pandas, he's a bit like a panda-goose, so after meeting his biological father, he has to learn how to be a member of his original race, and obviously, he also has to face a supervillain, who knows what will happen? Maybe he lost this time!
Q: Do you have anything in common with Ah Bao? Did they change Po's character design according to your characteristics in the early days of production?
A: You have to ask Jeffrey Katzenberg, which idea came first — did they think about making a film about me first, or did they want to find someone to play Abao, I'm not sure which idea came first, but I guess, Apo looks a little bit like me? No, he's very similar to me! What do I have in common with Ah Bao? I also love buns (dumpling in Kung Fu Panda refers to buns).
Q: Do you have any tricks up your sleeve when playing Ah Bao?
A: Pretend to be a child, or let yourself behave like a child, a precocious child, a very adventurous child, and the passion for kung fu is deeply rooted in the heart. You have to look for that feeling, unless you're a person in your own life who loves kung fu very much, the feeling that your love for it transcends the whole universe.
Q: Do you imitate Ah Bao's movements with your teeth and claws in the dubbing studio?
a: Exaggerated body interpretation will really help, while following Ah Bao's lines, while playing kung fu. I did a lot of exercise in this role, and they all saw it, and I walked into the studio wearing a wide workout and sweat-soaked sweatpants.
Q: The director said that you and Meimei may not necessarily be together, because many people are optimistic about you and Jiaohu, what do you think?
a: I am willing to block bullets for jiaohu, we are comrades in arms with life and death bonds. But who wouldn't want to have a girlfriend like Mei Mei, look at her! I will definitely fall in love with her!
