Yang Wengan rebelled, and the prince's explanation was meaningless, and he was directly imprisoned by Emperor Li Yuan in the Renzhi Palace, and at the same time summoned Li Shimin to let him lead the army again to suppress Yang Wengan.
In some history books, the explanation for Li Yuan's search for Li Shimin to send troops is that Li Yuan promised to officially appoint Li Shimin as the crown prince after suppressing Yang Wengan. Whether this was true or not, as soon as Li Shimin left the Renzhi Palace, Li Jiancheng's situation changed. Because of this matter, the current mainstream view is Li Shimin's conspiracy theory.

After Li Shimin suppressed Yang Wengan, he returned to Chang'an, and the result was that Wang Jue and Wei Ting of the Prince's Mansion and Du Yan of the Qin Dynasty were exiled to The Prefecture of Wei (pronounced xi) in Sichuan.
Wang Jue and Wei Ting were both strategists in the Prince's Mansion, among whom Wang Jue was very famous in the group of prime ministers in Li Shimin's period, and some historical materials, evaluating Wang Jue, could rank in the top four in the group of prime ministers in the early Tang Dynasty.
And Du Yan, is Du Ruyi's uncle, and the general understanding is different, the relationship between Du Ruqian and Du Yan is not good, when Du Ruqian was in the Qin King's Mansion, Du Yan worked for Wang Shichong, each as its master, and also made a lot of damages, but after Wang Shichong surrendered, under the battle of Li Shimin, the two were reconciled.
The Yang Wengan incident, Li Jiancheng and Li Shimin, neither side took advantage, and relative to Li Jiancheng still suffered some losses, but it was from this time that the war between the two began to become public, the change of XuanwuMen, and the place where Li Jiancheng lost, in fact, it was not Chang He, or other reasons.
