Sun Zhen, Deputy Secretary-General of the Chinese Delegation and Deputy Director General of the Department of Climate Change of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China, was invited to attend the side meeting. In his speech, he said that to do a good job in climate communication, we must recognize the characteristics of climate communication itself, its general environment is different from other communications, and we must make more efforts to make the public truly understand, not just emphasize low-carbon consumption. International cooperation on climate communication is also difficult, and all parties inevitably have their own interests in dissemination, and the dissemination becomes less easy to grasp. Sun Zhen said that we must further do a good job in climate communication, and we must be aware of the importance of multilateralism in the process of climate communication; we must tell the story of adapting to climate change, tell clearly the disasters of climate change, and strengthen the urgency of action; we must put down the body of climate communication and return to the concerns of the good people.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of China's climate communication research, and Zheng Baowei made a keynote speech entitled "Doing a Good Job in Climate Communication, Responding to Climate Change, and Building a Beautiful China- Ten Years of China's Climate Communication History and Thoughts". He recalled the gradual growth of China's climate transmission research from small to large in the past decade since the 15th United Nations Climate Conference in Copenhagen was tracked in 2009. He said that the project center provides strategic suggestions and theoretical support for the government, media and NGO to carry out effective climate communication on the international climate negotiation stage by submitting research reports and consultation reports, as well as holding various seminars, workshops, thematic side meetings and training courses for media journalists, which has been affirmed and praised by government departments, news media and NGO organizations. He said that looking back at the ten years of China's climate communication, we are full of confidence in the future. In the future, we will continue to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization, raise the banner of climate communication higher, do a better job, train the team stronger, and spread the voice louder, let the flowers of climate communication open everywhere, truly form a big climate in China and even in the world, promote the construction of a beautiful China and a healthy China, realize the beautiful vision of global co-governance of climate change, and make greater contributions to the protection of our common earth home!

Jing Hui, director of communications at the Energy Foundation, believes that in the dissemination of low-carbon lifestyles, the association of "low-carbon consumption", "high-quality and beautiful life" and "sustainable growth" is established; the response to climate change, low-carbon life and low-carbon consumption are combined with people's current concerns, focusing on the "here and now"; information design based on values, respecting interest demands, and providing low-carbon choices that can meet interest demands; disseminating specific and systematic behavior guidance; grasping rationality and temperature while being close to life, fashion, Co-creation of tones.

Zhang Yan, deputy director of the Climate Response Division of China International Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., said that the value of encouraging the public to actively participate in low-carbon development is beyond doubt, and the connotation of this value and significance is also rich and multifaceted. Different participants, including governments, enterprises, institutions, and individuals, in different participating environments, such as different stages of development, emission problems to be solved, and the path of emission reduction, will have different needs for public participation, so different goal-oriented and policy tools are adopted, resulting in different behavior performances and effects.
Chen Liangzhong, chairman of the Shouwang Earth Council, said that the protection of the ecological environment and the response to climate change must be based on scientific and economically feasible solutions, and the formulation of scientific and economically feasible plans must be based on the basic data of long-term field monitoring. Field scientific research and monitoring are expensive in the long-term persistence, and the collection of first-hand data on the spot of field monitoring requires a lot of manpower and material resources, which is time-consuming and expensive. Public scientific research has found ways for amateur science amateurs to contribute their own strength, mobilized a large number of people to undertake daily basic work for scientific research, and provided more solutions and a certain degree of financial support for scientific research.
