In order to improve the farmers' walnut planting management technology, from January 11 to 15, Mohan Township sincerely invited the technical personnel of the Industrial Office of the Forestry Bureau of Yongshan County and the Forest Defense Station to go deep into the field to carry out walnut planting management technology training.
At the training sites of The Ganxi Villagers Group in Ganxi Village and the Dapingzi Villagers Group in Jingping Village, the technicians gave systematic explanations on walnut pruning, fertilizer management, disease and pest control, etc. In the walnut pruning and shaping link, the technicians explained the pruning methods commonly used by walnut trees, including 5 pruning methods such as throwing, controlling the canopy, thinning, sniping, and pulling branches, focusing on the importance of the walnut seedling rod, pointing out that in the pruning process, it is necessary to adhere to the principle of tree pruning and tree shaping, and form two tree types: trunk molding and natural happiness. In the pest control and pest control session, the technicians focused on several common diseases of walnut trees such as plaster diseases and canker diseases, explained in detail the grafting techniques such as square bud joints and four knife skin joints, and the four common insect pest control methods such as walnut fruit acorn nails and flat leaf nails. The participants listened carefully, memorized carefully, and communicated with the instructors from time to time, and the atmosphere of on-site training was active.
"Technicians in the field guide the pruning of walnuts and the management of soil, so that we can learn the experience, and in the future, we will use the experience they taught to apply what they have taught to make our walnut industry bigger and stronger." Leng Shiming, a villager from Xiaoganxi Village, said so.
Through the training, the management level of walnut planting of forest farmers has been further improved, so that farmers have a deeper understanding of the scientific cultivation of walnuts, and have played a certain technical guidance role in walnut pruning management, laying the foundation for increasing walnut income in the coming year.
In recent years, Mohan Township has continuously adjusted the industrial structure, through scientific planning, policy support, technical guidance, typical driving and other forms, vigorously develop the walnut planting industry, the current township walnut planting area of more than 20,800 acres, mainly distributed in Xiangshui, Ganxi and other 8 administrative villages 39 villager groups, involving more than 800 farmers, in 2015 the fruit hanging rate has reached 30%, to achieve economic income of more than 2 million yuan.
It is reported that the training lasted for 5 days and benefited more than 3,000 people from more than 800 households in 8 villages.
