The eighth species, striped fish, scientific name Trichiurus lepturus, the genus of striped fish in the family Perciformes, Qingdao people are more accustomed to calling it "knife fish". Its body is banded, flattened on the sides, generally 50-70 cm long, and the larger ones are up to 120 cm long. There are several species of fish that can be called "striped fish", but the Yellow Sea produces only this species of Trichiurus lepturus and the small striped fish Eupleurogrammus muticus, the former is more numerous.
In general, the banded fish live in the deep sea, and the captured striped fish will die of internal organ damage due to pressure changes, so it is difficult to see live belt fish.
