Relevant leaders of the college and responsible persons of relevant departments such as the Human Armed Forces Department, the Propaganda Department, and the School of Electrical Engineering attended the work report meeting.
Chen Bo inspected the conscription work office of Hunan Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College on the spot to understand the conscription work and the achievements of national defense education. At the work report meeting, the secretary of the party committee of the college, Li Ping, introduced that in recent years, the college's conscription work has formed a distinctive brand effect through strong organizational leadership, created a long-term mechanism of warm and inspiring, and sent a large number of high-quality soldiers with high ideological awareness, good physical conditions, and excellent academic achievements to the troops, making due contributions to national defense construction and army building. At present, the college's recruitment propaganda has changed to normal education, and through the active guidance of the on-campus military enthusiasts association, it has effectively improved the physical fitness of conscripted college students and achieved good results.
Chen Bo fully affirmed that the party committee of the academy was concerned about national defense education and attached importance to conscription. He pointed out that the college should aim to improve the quality of recruitment, take the optimization of the recruitment structure as the core, start from the changes in the main position of recruitment and the recruitment group, and supplement it with the further optimization and adjustment of incentive measures.
Chen Bo stressed: It is necessary to adhere to the overall state security concept, academies and universities and the armed forces need to make overall plans for development, schools should train people, the troops should train people, the cultivation of talents in colleges and universities should be supplemented by national defense education in the armed forces, and the two sides should coordinate to educate people, so as to cultivate the pillars of the country and society.
