On the afternoon of December 25, the Suqian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government held a press conference, and the Political and Legal Committee of the Municipal Party Committee (Municipal Anti-Organized Crime Office), the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, the Municipal Court, the Municipal Procuratorate, the Municipal Public Security Bureau and other departments jointly reported on the relevant situation of the city's special struggle against organized crime and evil in the past three years.
In the past three years, the Suqian Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have conscientiously implemented the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, persistently promoted the special struggle as an important measure to enhance the "four consciousnesses", strengthen the "four self-confidences", and achieve "two safeguards", closely focusing on the "three significant improvements" goal proposed by the provincial party committee and the provincial government, carrying forward the "three true styles", making heavy punches, making fierce hands, and seeking practical results. The city's special struggle to eliminate organized crime and evil forces has achieved major results. Up to now, the city has cracked a total of 1,760 criminal and evil cases, arrested 3,723 criminal suspects of criminal syndicates and evil forces; smashed 339 criminal gangs; sealed and frozen more than 1.133 billion yuan of criminal and evil assets according to law; and cleaned up 134 village group cadres who were village tyrants, involved in criminal syndicates, and received criminal punishments. According to the data released by the Political and Legal Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the city's social stability index ranks among the top in the province; the masses' awareness and satisfaction with the special struggle against organized crime and evil forces have increased significantly.
