Painter's Note: Liu Guohui, Zhai Changlexuan, a native of Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. About the writer: Gao Xiaosheng (1928.7.8—) Wujin, Jiangsu. In 1948, he was admitted to the Economics Department of Shanghai Law School, and then transferred to Wuxi Sunan Journalism College, graduating in 1950. He once worked in the Southern Jiangsu Literary Association and the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Culture. In 1978, he re-wrote short stories reflecting the lives and destinies of peasants, such as "Li Shun's Great House", "The Owner of the Funnel Household", "Chen Yisheng Shangcheng", and "Wallet", depicting the various images and traditional mentalities of Chinese peasants with deep thinking and cold and humorous tones. He is currently the vice chairman of the Jiangsu Branch of the China Writers Association.
