The 3rd Dance Forum of Beijing Dance Academy focuses on "Dancing for the People"

The forum lasted for three days, through the combination of online and offline methods, with the opening and closing ceremonies, a main forum, fifteen sub-forums and an exhibition and performance, around the centennial party history and Chinese dance art to set the topic, the relationship between the party's spiritual genealogy, literary and artistic thought, policy research and the development of Chinese dance art were explained in depth, and at the same time, the dance culture inheritance in the century-old party history, the study of dancers and dance images, the study of red classics, etc. were included in the scope of discussion, and the Chinese classical dance, Chinese ethnic folk dance, etc. were refined in the sub-forum. The construction and development of performing art forms such as ballet, national standard dance, and musical theater under the leadership of the party's literary and artistic ideology, and the integration and development of dance art and science and technology in the new era and new media environment are explored for the future.

Batu, secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Dance Academy, said in his opening speech on the 1st: "'Dancing for the people' means that dance art practitioners take the people as the center, take the satisfaction of the people's spiritual and cultural needs as the starting point and foothold of dance art work, regard the people as the main body of dance art performance, regard the people as connoisseurs and judges of dance art aesthetics, and serve the people as the natural duty of dance art workers." ”

At the beginning of this year, in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Beijing Dance Academy planned to launch a series of 100 works of "Dance for the People" for a hundred years, and carefully sorted out and summarized the creative achievements of the school in the past 67 years, and selected outstanding original dance works to be widely publicized in the form of exhibition and broadcast. Therefore, the centennial works of "Dancing for the People" have become an important proposition of this forum, which are reflected in the topic settings of the main forum and the sub-forums.

Guo Lei, deputy secretary of the party committee and dean of the Beijing Dance Academy, said in his keynote speech: "The history of the development of the Beijing Dance Academy is a history of keeping the red tradition and innovating and educating people. In the face of the 'comprehensive modernization' of Chinese education, the college has always regarded 'educating people for the party and educating talents for the country' as the fundamental task of dance higher education, inheriting the fine tradition of "loving the country and loving the school and loving dance", with the goal of achieving a high-level characteristic dance art university, and exerting its due educational contribution to the country's artistic innovation, cultural construction and civilization development in the new era. ”

At the opening ceremony of this year, Feng Shuangbai, chairman of the China Dancers Association, Xia Chao, chairman of the China Literary and Art Critics Association, Fan Di'an, president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Zhu Kening, president of the China Performing Arts Industry Association, Jing Xiaoyong, secretary of the party committee and chairman of the China Oriental Performing Arts Group, Zhao Ruxun, former chairman of the China Dancers Association, Yu Pingping, former director of the Art Department of the Ministry of Culture and Director of the Department of Science and Technology, Batu, secretary of the party committee of the Beijing Dance Academy, Guo Lei, deputy secretary of the party committee and dean, and other leaders of the academy and some old experts and academic committee members of the college. Founded in 2019, the forum has been successfully held twice, focusing on the themes of "dance education, creation, cross-border, exchange and people's livelihood" and "epidemic • human destiny and dance" in the 70 years of New China, and has gathered nearly 500 dance artists and more than 2,000 dance scholars from more than 20 countries and regions to share rational thinking and practical experience.
