The "Bell Messenger" on Fushan Mountain, the brown-faced warbler

In the spring of Fushan, fragrant flowers, camellias, spring flowers, mountain cherry blossoms, weeping begonias, etc. are opened one after another, and all kinds of birds come to eat nectar and catch insects attracted by the flowers.

A kind of "bell... bell...... The crisp, shrill sound of the bell echoed among the trees, a sound that was very distinctive, like the ringtone of a mobile phone, penetrating and exclusive to a very beautiful and small bird: the brown-faced oriole warbler.

Some bird atlases describe this attractive small forest bird as follows: 10 cm long, bright and distinctive plumage; maroon headband, brownish yellow face, with black side crown stripes; green upper body, yellow waist; white lower body, black spots on the chin and throat, yellow on the upper chest; dark upper mouth, light lower beak; pink brown feet; and is a common resident bird. I feel that in addition to the slight difference in the color of the feathers described, the general description is still correct, the word "brown face" is in line with the facial characteristics, and the "warbler" is due to the fact that it belongs to the genus Ofmur warbler. After that, I asked the bird watcher that the latest research showed that the brown-faced warbler was closer to the tree warbler genus, which meant that the name of the little guy would change in the near future.

Regardless of this, in Fushan there is often a chance to encounter brown-faced warblers, late winter and early spring they like to flock, in late spring and early summer can only see one or two, these small guys, making a unique bell sound, shuttle between the broad-leaved forest and the bamboo forest, happily preying on insects. Sometimes we'll see it hovering among the leaves to catch insects, but it's flying so fast that I can't catch that moment. Some people will say, isn't this very simple? Put some bugs to lure a photo, I can't do this, simple and natural shooting is from the heart. I believe that in the future, I will be able to naturally capture this dream scene.

Brown-faced warblers in the small pond of Fushan sometimes come to bathe, I have been photographed once a few years ago, but the quality of the film has not been very satisfied, in early March I was walking around Fushan, I happened to encounter them in groups to come to the bath, I just took olympus e-m1x and m.zd 300mm f4 is pro This set of combinations, properly took a few films that I was quite satisfied with, of which the capture between the branches was a digital version, and the state of dynamic and static combination during bathing was also photographed, and the effect was very satisfactory.

The ancient city of Shaoxing, where I live, is fortunate to have such a mountain and a city park, which allows me to encounter so many natural and wonderful moments.

Shooting tips: The brown-faced warbler is lively and active, very difficult to shoot, according to its bell positioning to find its general position, pre-judge the position of its flying stop, and then wait, the camera can pre-align the right focus, and so it flies after finding it in the frame to quickly focus on locking the shooting, this time is very short. Patience is a must to photograph this bird, and if you can meet it in groups to bathe, you will be lucky.
