After Huang Jun of the Liupanshan Forestry Bureau found the shooting, after verification, it was confirmed that the bird was a brown-faced warbler. Members of the Ningxia Bird Watching Association consulted the materials and consulted several postdoctoral fellows who studied birds, and agreed that there was no record of brown-faced orioles in Ningxia before.

According to the data, the brown-faced warbler inhabits evergreen forests and dense bamboo forests. It mainly inhabits broad-leaved forests and bamboo forests below 2500 meters above sea level, often in the upper layers of forests and bamboo forests, but also in understory shrubs and forest edges, and the breeding period is mostly individual or in pairs, and in other seasons. The ecological environment between 1900-2900 meters above sea level in Liupan Mountain is suitable for this bird's life.
