The Haflinger is a breed of horse bred in Austria and northern Italy in the late 19th century. It is relatively small, and its height is only 135-150 cm. The whole body is chestnut, and the color ranges from light gold to dark golden maroon gradient. The mane and tail are white or flaxish. The breed has thick breasts, muscular development, and long hips. The legs are neat, the knees are broad and flat, and the joints are strong.
The breed is said to have the ancestry of the Arabian horse. It is said that the Haflingerma was bred by a mixture of Arabian horses and mountain ponies from Austria and Italy, so there is still a very Arab head shape. They are horses, not pony breeds. Although the size of their size may mean that they are ponies, and they have pony ancestors, haflinger horses are classified as horses.
Known for being easy to raise, it can complete tasks well in a limited food state. They are versatile, have a good load capacity, can carry and pull carts, and offer recreational rides.
