There are many similar examples, such as: Anji white tea and Fuding white tea, although the name is white tea, but one belongs to the green tea class, one belongs to the white tea class.
Today we will talk about the difference between "Junshan Silver Needle and White Silver Needle".
Both not only have the word "silver needle" in the name, but even the appearance is "thin as a needle" which will inevitably make people misunderstand that it is a kind of tea.
However, in detail, there are still many differences between them.
First, the difference between tea and place of origin
(1) Junshan silver needle, belonging to the yellow tea category, produced in Junshan in Dongting Lake, Yueyang, Hunan; because of its "thin shape like a needle", it is called Junshan silver needle, which is the best of yellow bud tea. Its finished tea buds are strong, the length and size are uniform, the inner surface of the tea buds is golden yellow, the outer layer is exposed completely, and the package is solid, and the shape of the tea buds is very similar to a silver needle, which is called "gold inlaid jade".

(2) White silver needle, belonging to the white tea category, produced in Fuding City, Fujian Province; because of its "white dense cloth, white as silver, shape like needles" and named, is the best in white tea. It is known as "tea beauty" and "white tea tea king"

(1) Junshan Silver is very demanding for picking, and it is necessary to pick tea leaves in 7 to 10 days before and after the Qingming Festival, and there are "9 non-picking", such as rainy days, insect wounds, bending, hollow, wind and frost days, tea bud openings, unsized size, thin, tea buds purple and other cases of not picking. It also goes through eight production processes, such as greening, spreading, first baking, first wrapping, re-drying, re-drying, re-bunting, and baking, which takes at least 78 hours.
(2) The picking of white silver needles is much simpler than that of Junshan silver needles. After the fresh leaves are picked in the production process, there is no need to kill or knead, but only to dry in the sun or over low heat, which is a slightly fermented tea.

(1) The shelf life of Junshan silver needle is generally about two years; tea polyphenols, polyphenols, vitamin C and carotene in tea are easily oxidized, so the ambient temperature, relative humidity, odor, light, air and microorganisms will affect the quality of tea. In order to make it not deteriorate, we must pay attention to the storage process: avoid high temperature, avoid high humidity, avoid light, avoid oxygen.
(2) Because of its unique production process, the silver needle is suitable for a long time, and the more aged it is, the more fragrant it is, and it has the reputation of "one year of tea, three years of medicine, and seven years of treasure". The storage environment should be dry and ventilated, and the tea leaves should be sealed and stored and pay attention to moisture, high temperature and sun, and anti-odor unclean.
