In the winter of 1929, comrade Hu Yaobang, who was only 14 years old, joined the Communist Youth League of China, and then engaged in youth work under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, thus starting his revolutionary career of more than 60 years.

Three years later, Comrade Hu Yaobang, who worked the longest in the youth work, transferred from the Chinese Communist Youth League to the Communist Party of China, and in this way, he established a firm belief in communism and did a lot of work for the construction of the revolutionary base area regiment by virtue of his unique style and style of work.

In the years that followed, he followed the footsteps of the Central Red Army and walked through the road of the twenty-five thousand miles long march, and he braved difficulties and obstacles to temper his revolutionary will. After arriving in northern Shaanxi, he successively served as secretary general of the Central Bureau of the Young Communist Party and director of the Propaganda Department, and scrupulously fulfilled his duties and made great contributions to the party's youth work.

First, young and promising, bravely shoulder responsibility

At the age of 24, Hu Yaobang successively served as deputy director and director of the Organization Department of the General Political Department of the Central Military Commission, and at this critical moment, China was experiencing the rampant aggression of Japanese imperialism.

It is not an exaggeration to say that he played an indispensable role in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, because in his strongest years, he served as the director of the Political Department of the First Corps of the North China Field Army, and participated in the organization and command of large battles such as Datong, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Zhangjiakou, and Baoji, leading the Chinese Anti-Japanese Army to victory after victory.

Second, strive to turn the tide and stabilize society

After the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan, Comrade Hu Yaobang threw himself wholeheartedly into the cause of promoting the socialist revolution and socialist construction. In September 1949, as a representative of the Chinese New Democratic Youth League, he attended the first plenary session of the Chinese Political Consultative Conference, and was one of the few youth representatives to attend the meeting at that time.

In December of the same year, he led the troops into the southwest of the country, and was then the secretary of the Central Chuanbei District Party Committee and the director of the Bureau, during which time he led the people to carry out land reform, carry out the struggle against banditry and hegemony, maintain and stabilize social order, and quickly restore and develop industrial and agricultural production.

Third, devote ourselves to the Youth League and focus on development

After joining the Communist Youth League of China, the young Comrade Hu Yaohui worked diligently in his post until the summer of 1952, when he served as the secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League. On 10 August, he was formally inaugurated to the post. Two weeks later, he participated in the Central Committee meeting chaired by Mao Zedong and actively discussed the work of the Youth League.

Chairman Mao was particularly pleased to encourage him to sort out the contents of his speech and share it with everyone at the Third Plenary Session of the First Central Committee of the Youth League. After that, Hu Yaobang handed over the finished draft to Chairman Mao, which was fully praised by the chairman, who especially expressed his great expectation for Hu Yaobang's performance at the plenary session.

During his presidency of the work of the Central Committee of the League, Hu Yaobang advocated the style of "vigorous and vigorous and seeking truth from facts" in the whole League, united the organization, actively led the league members to participate in China's socialist construction, promoted unprecedented development and progress in the work of the Youth League and the cause of young people throughout the country, and gave full play to the role of the Communist Youth League as an assistant to the Communist Party and a powerful reserve army.

He also organized and organized various activities with youth characteristics around the instructions of the party's command center on many occasions, and attached great importance to educating the members of the league with Chinese communist ideology in practice. It is precisely because Comrade Hu Yaobang attaches great importance to the Youth League that the guiding ideology of the whole League can be quickly unified and the League organization can be developed efficiently, quickly, and comprehensively.

Fourth, Bole poured out help, full of spirit

At the end of 1952, because he was only 37 years old, some people in the regiment did not very much recognize Hu Yaobang's work, they thought that he was too young, and the variety of youth activities held was not conducive to the stability of the organization, so they had some doubts about Hu Yaobang's work, which was a very bad impact on a team leader.

When Chairman Mao learned of this problem, he loudly encouraged him at the Central Work Conference: "After a long time, the problem will be solved in a year or two." On June 30, 1953, when Chairman Mao received the presidium of the Second National Congress of the Youth League, he even encouraged Hu Yaobang and said: "Don't be in a hurry, it is impossible not to accept criticism and not to be scolded."

Since then, in order to help Hu Yaobang carry out the follow-up work smoothly, Chairman Mao has always invited all the activities organized by the Youth League to encourage young people to forge ahead on the road of health, and at the same time, as far as possible, other central leading comrades have also actively participated in them.

On September 20, 1955, the National Conference of Young Activists for Socialist Construction held in Huairen Hall in Zhongnanhai was attended by as many as 1,527 people, including Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Deng Xiaoping and other party and state leaders. At the ceremony of receiving the central leaders, Hu Yaobang also invited the chairman to make relevant speeches.

Hu Yaobang did not fail to live up to the heavy expectations placed on him by the Party Central Committee, and likewise he did not disappoint Mao Zedong, who trusted him so much. When he became secretary of the Central Committee of the League, it was the initial stage of the cause of socialist construction in our country, separated from the Chinese youth who had been fighting for a long time, and ushered in a new era of development.

As a Marxist, In his 60-year-long revolutionary career, Hu Yaobang has always firmly and strongly adhered to his strong sense of revolutionary dedication and political responsibility, and has always tirelessly contributed his wisdom and strength to the party and the people, and is an example for the new Chinese youth to learn from in striving to build the motherland.
