The pest control work in the grasslands of Inner Mongolia is nearing completion

As of August 11, the area of grassland insect pests in the whole region is 64.563 million mu, and the area of serious harm is 30.6167 million mu.

The area of grassland locust harm in the whole region is 40.4512 million mu, and the area of serious harm is 19.2283 million mu, involving 60 flag counties (districts) in 12 league cities in the region. It shows the characteristics of large range of hazards, many types of hazards, uneven development age of the same species, and delayed occurrence, and there are still a certain number of locust hazards in some areas.

It has the characteristics of short harmful period, long occurrence period, and suitable re-occurrence of hazards in xilin gol league, east Uzhu muqin banner, Xilinhot city, sunit left banner, sunit right banner, Abaga banner, Ulanchabu city four sons of king banner, Bayannaoer city Urat middle flag, Ordos city Otok banner, Wushen banner, Alxa league alxa right banner and other places of the natural grassland serious harm, the harm area of 7.9271 million mu, the serious harm area of 3.1081 million mu. Leaf beetle pests such as Baizi leaf beetle and sand artemisia gold leaf beetle are seriously harmed in Wuhai City and Alxa League, with a harmful area of 10.79 million mu and a serious harm area of 4.80 million mu.

Grassland borer larvae only form a hazard in some areas of Chifeng City, Ordos City and Hohhot City, with a harmful area of 615,600 mu and a serious hazard area of 432,200 mu.

Pests such as spring inchworm, giant membrane bugs and nocturnal moths are seriously harmful in lemon grasslands and desert grasslands in western Inner Mongolia, with a harmful area of 4.7791 million mu and a serious hazard area of 3.0481 million mu.

With the strong support of the central authorities and the autonomous region, the grassland business departments at all levels in the region have actively adopted effective measures and devoted themselves to the prevention and control of grassland insect pests, and the prevention and control of grassland insect pests has achieved phased results. At present, the grassland pest control work in Hulunbuir City, Xilin Gol League, and Bayannaoer City has been completed, and other league cities have seized the final and appropriate period of prevention and control to control grassland insect pests, and strive to minimize the losses caused by grassland insect pests. During the prevention and control period, various localities overcame a variety of unfavorable factors, adopted the combination of aircraft control and ground mechanical control, and applied biological, chemical, physical, ecological and other comprehensive control measures to carry out large-scale comprehensive prevention and control of grassland insect pests. As of August 11, the whole district has invested 53,066 laborers, 5,494 technicians, 240 flights, 3,069 sets of large spray machinery, 27,221 sets of small and medium-sized spray machinery, 7,875 vehicles, 608.79 tons of pesticide spraying, and 18,128,200 mu of grassland insect pest control area. Among them, the grassland locust control area is 12.946 million mu, and the control area of other grassland insect pests such as leaf aces, spring inchworms, grassland borer larvae is 5.1822 million mu, and the grassland insect pests have been effectively curbed. All localities are seizing the final control period to consolidate and eliminate grassland insect pests and expand the effect of prevention and control.
