Hello everyone!
It is a great honor to be invited to participate in the unveiling ceremony of mr. Tang's statue today as a post-scholar and researcher of Mr. Tang. I have come here many times to pay homage to and remember Mr. Xian Tang, whom I revere, in an attempt to have heart-to-heart communication with him. I found that the environment here is getting better and better, especially the pines here, more and more dense, straight, green, it is really "even the forest people do not feel, the only tree is strange". Today, the statue of Mr. Tang was inaugurated here, adding a beautiful "scenery" to this place. Standing in front of this newly erected statue, it seems that Mr. XianTang's voice and appearance are right in front of you, and you can really communicate with your heart. This hard marble seems to show Mr. Xiantang's dedication and pursuit of China's traditional culture, and also records Mr. Xiantang's painstaking efforts and achievements in protecting the lifeline of national culture. Looking at the statue makes people feel excited. Let me briefly talk about my impressions and suggestions.
First of all, the statue of Mr. Tang is a good memorial to Mr. Tang.
Mr. Xian Tang left us for exactly sixtieth anniversary. Over the past sixty years, Mr. Xiantang's life and deeds have gone from obscurity to the academic circles saying that they must be called "Xiantang", Wang Xiantang's research has gradually become "Xianxue", the publishing industry has expressed its willingness to publish Mr. Xiantang's works, and even the collection circles have competed to buy Mr. Xiantang's calligraphy paintings, gold stone inscriptions, etc., and the price is rising day by day, which shows that real gold will always shine. People of insight are increasingly discovering that Mr. XianTang is a valuable academic treasure house that deserves physical and mental investment, in-depth excavation and interpretation. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Mr. Tang's death, the erection of this statue is an important measure to call on more scholars to pay attention to and study Mr. Tang, and to study and honor Mr. Tang. The statue is a kind of commemoration, a kind of remembrance, and it is also a rallying call, hoping to gather more scholars to pay tribute to Mr. Tang's scholarship and character.
Secondly, Mr. Xiantang's academic achievements need to be further sorted out and elaborated.
Mr. XianTang is a knowledgeable person, who is not only a historian, archaeologist, and philologist in the modern sense, but also a goldstone scholar in the traditional sense, a phonological and phonological teacher. A lifetime of scholarship, Yuanshao Qianjia Qing Confucianism, recent inheritance of the late Qing Dynasty, Yizhi with modern scientific concepts, supplemented by field investigation, set catalogs, editions, school chickens, exegesis in one, melting the text, rhyme, utensils, ancient history of the study into one furnace, in poetry, calligraphy and painting, seal carvings and other aspects are also deeply accomplished, its field of governance, research is profound, the writing is rich, the achievements are huge, breathtaking. Mr. Xiantang's academic achievements require multidisciplinary scholars to gather and study, and I hope that through this commemorative activity, more scholars will participate in Wang Xiantang's research, and organize, expound and carry forward the academic achievements of Xiantang.
Third, the most important thing is to inherit and carry forward the noble spirit of Mr. Tang.
Mr. Xian Tang is recognized as an academic who is "full of academic merits and morals of articles", and his attitude of ignoring fame and fortune and devoting himself to scholarship and the spirit of governance are worthy of our future generations' admiration and study. For example, he once wrote a joint statement: "Not to become a big hidden, not to love the present money and love the ancient money." It is the best illustration of this attitude and spirit of life. But the spirit that shines in him is most worthy of our study is his patriotic spirit. The two lines engraved next to the statue are a passage from Mr. Xiantang's letter to his cousin Wang Chongwu: "I am ashamed of my weak writing and cannot repay the country." However, holding the remnants of the que, leaving a lifeline for Shanzuo Yiwen, there is no enough to call it also. This passage is a concentrated expression of his patriotic spirit. After Japan invaded China, Fu Sinian put forward the proposition of "why do scholars serve the country?" and asked intellectuals to ask themselves. Mr. Xiantang answered with practical actions: he put aside the honor and disgrace of personal life and death and the safety of his family's life, and in the artillery fire of the Japanese army, he carried books and moved, crossed most of China, and was exiled for more than ten years, and finally was able to triumph, carrying the ancient books and cultural relics of Qilu culture. This feat embodies that Mr. XianTang has a pure heart and a sense of family and country, can guard the cultural bloodline of the Chinese nation in the anti-Japanese flames, and can not forget the original intention and mission of a scholar under the bayonet of the invaders. This is another kind of war of resistance, the cultural war of resistance, and he is a hero of the war of resistance that should always be praised. He is a clear representative of the spirit of the Chinese nation and a model of the patriotic spirit of our country, which is worth inheriting and carrying forward.
Finally, I hope that the statue of Mr. Tang will become a cultural "new landmark" in Qingdao.
The statue of Mr. Xian Tang created by Jia Zhenyao and Zhao Xiaohui is both "similar" and more "god-like", which fully demonstrates Mr. Xian Tang's knowledgeable and gentle scholarly demeanor, his noble character of firm conviction and perseverance, and the courage of a warrior who "sacrificed his body to go to the country to face the difficulties of the country and regarded death as a sudden return", which is a vivid image of an artistic masterpiece that reflects the real life of The Tang Dynasty. It is hoped that the completion of this statue will become the carrier and platform for Qingdao's cultural inheritance, attracting more people to come to visit and learn, which will certainly help to enhance the cultural taste of Qingdao city, shape a more rich urban cultural atmosphere, and will also become a cultural "new landmark" in Qingdao.
