On May 5, China Education Group Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as "China Education Holdings") announced on its official website that it had successfully won the bid for a land plot in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for the construction of the first phase of the new campus of Songtian College of Guangzhou University.
According to the announcement, the new campus of Songtian College of Guangzhou University covers an area of 1,500 acres with a design capacity of 30,000 students. The land area of the first phase of the plot is about 243,900 square meters (about 366 mu), and the total planned construction area is 365,900 square meters. Zhaoqing City will deliver the land parcel as net land within 3 months, and China Education Holdings will start construction within 2 months after delivery, welcoming new students in September 2021.

Songtian College of Guangzhou University joined China Education Holdings in September 2018, and with the academic and operational support of China Education Holdings, the university's annual undergraduate freshman program has increased from 2,000 in the 2017-2018 academic year to more than 4,300 in the 2019-2020 academic year, an increase of about 120% in two years, while the admission score has increased by 25 points.
According to the announcement, according to the national "Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", the Greater Bay Area will be developed into an "education and talent highland", and the location of the new campus of Guangzhou University's Matsuda College will benefit from policies that are conducive to development prospects. CHINA EDUCATION HOLDINGS is a listed education group with the largest number of universities in the Greater Bay Area, and currently has four higher or vocational education schools in the Greater Bay Area, and the completion of the new campus will further strengthen the Group's school network in the Greater Bay Area.
