And when they are ornamental, the native Chinese fish are slowly being liked by everyone. Among them, there is a type of native Chinese fish, which can be said to be a real fish tank scavenger. It is not a level with the kind of black scavengers that we often have on the market.
This native fish is the sucker loach. The native fish of the loach smokers in China have a very strong cleaning ability. It can be said that we are "domestic scavenger fish". Our previous article has introduced some fish that can be used as ornamental fish, that is, some fish with relatively high ornamental value, which can replace the original black scavengers. But most of them belong to foreign species, and they are not the original fish in China.
Ornamental fish that smoke loach are different. They are the native fish that really belong to our Country, and they are no worse than some of the exotic fish with cleaning functions introduced earlier.
Pseudo-abdominal sucker loach
First of all, there are many species of loach native fish in China. More common are loach suckers. These suckers are a feature of loach. That is, they are not large, so they are very suitable for raising small and medium-sized fish tanks, especially some aquatic grass tanks or native fish tanks. They love the algae on the walls of the pits and the stones.
Once they get to the fish tank and get used to the environment, they will be working every day except sleeping. And because they don't grow too big, they don't nibble or attack other fish. This is the biggest advantage of Chinese loach as a scavenger fish in the fish tank, especially the scavenger fish in the primary fish tank.
Another one we just mentioned is that the ornamental nature of this type of fish is also there. In the past few days, I have bought two Mai's pseudo-abdominal loach and found that their ornamentality is also quite strong. Placed in the fish tank, as long as the environment is good, after they adapt to it, the body Becky shows red and yellow, and there are some lines on the body, which is still very beautiful. Especially watching them stick to the cylinder wall, the mouth keeps gnawing on the cylinder wall, or very decompression.

After about five days of testing, there are some algae on the cylinder wall itself, making the cylinder wall look less clean. But after they nibbled on it for a few days, they found that the tank wall was much better than before, and the water quality inside was transparent from the outside.
This is behind the rise of native fish in China, as a direction we can consider as we explore new clean fish in the fish tank. Loach suckers are not as popular as the common scavenger fish we knew before. But in the future, whether it is their functionality or ornamentation, I think it is very valuable, very potential, so you can focus on it. After all, the traditional black scavenger fish has been reacquainted. They do not have a strong ability to clean, but they pose a threat to other fish, and they are not good. So, on the way to redefining the fish tank scavenger, we need to explore more possibilities. And everyone should focus on our native Chinese fish. Compared with other exotic ornamental fish, I believe we have a special feeling for them.
